He gave him the look. “Look, I don’t know about it but I can’t be a werewolf. I know that werewolves are supposed to turn into wolves on the full moon but that never happened. Did it? I never turned into a wolf on full moons.” Zadkiel argued back. “Maybe, turning into wolves is just a myth.” Abel pointed out. “The whole concept of werewolves’ existence is a myth, bro,” Zadkiel stated, denying every possible way he could.

But now, I was glad I did, because one way or the other, there was always an atom of truth in myths. “You are talking about…myths?” A scoff left my lips, as I gazed down to stare at my open palms. “They're not myths.” “Come on Arias. Gryms are midnight stories told to young wolvens to scare the crap out of them.” The vein on the side of my neck bulged, and my teeth gritted against each other. It took everything I had to not fling something dangerous at his head. Although, I was sure he'd sidestep it, it was worth a try.

She asked, encouragingly of him, "...sooo, tell me, professor Mourhollow… if the harpies all whisper about werewolves as monsters, why do I sense you don't agree?" Sheepish and shy as ever, Corvin's mouth curved in that faint and knowing way of his. "Simple, really. That's because all myths and legends are true, but so often they come from misunderstandings. You know how court mothers frighten their fledglings with tales of werewolves gone mad, tearing through villages?"

I chided Red on the drive home. He laughed. “I don’t … not in the way you all do. I’m not sure it’s a gift even ..”. “I’ve always heard metamorphs were a myth … just a story.” I said. “Like witches?” He asked me. “Yes… “ “Werewolves are a fantasy Alan, a myth. There’s a lot of things out there that we don’t know about. Some are stories we’ve heard. Some of from the past, our histories. Some are just flat out rumors and lies. But everything started somewhere…” he told me.

“What does he meant by that?” “He’s talking about the war of the greater werewolves. It’s not really even written in books but it is rather passed by lips throughout the generation.” Pulling his bag of ointments under his bed, Idris thankfully replied to my query. “The myth is all about a pack of alphas coming to wreak havoc in our world” “A pack of alphas? That seems like an overkill.” I stood behind watching him. “Indeed but that’s why it’s labeled as a myth. It’s only been passed through stories and that meant it’s inadequate. There’s no actual basis backing up the truthfulness of it” He added.

I knew that mom wouldn't stay with us longer if we didn't treat her quickly. But to be honest, deep inside we all knew, there was no cure for her. The damages in her body wouldn't be healed. But still everyday we kept aside all of our worries and enjoyed our precious moments together wishing someday the tale of the mystic spring would come true and heal everything. I laughed inside at my own thoughts. In our nursery book, we would read the rhymes about the mystic spring. It was an old wolf myth. Wolves believed that awakening of the mystic spring would kill the darkness and bring back the souls and reigns by lightening the world.
