His eyes met mine one last time before he took a deep breath and shifted. His bones cracked and within seconds, his wolf form stood in front of me. It was sleek, dark gray, and looked strong but it was smaller than Kaden’s massive brown wolf. Kaden’s wolf let out a deep growl, showing his sharp teeth before lunging again. Kellan’s wolf tried to dodge, but Kaden tackled him hard to the ground. They rolled over each other, teeth snapping, claws ripping into flesh. Kellan’s wolf managed to bite down on Kaden’s shoulder, but Kaden shook him off like he weighed nothing.

I focus a bit more and notice that one of the wolves is Sylas; he has to be fighting Laslo. Sylas is a huge gray wolf, bigger than Laslo’s white wolf. Laslo’s wolf is swiping at Sylas, and his claws connect here and there. Sylas twists his body and kicks Laslo’s wolf, sending it flying into a tree. Laslo’s wolf lays at the base of the tree, sprawled out. Sylas marches to the tree base and hovers over Laslo’s wolf, snarling and biting. His jaw reaches over and grabs at the white wolf’s neck.

Aiden Razor was in control while I watched what was going on. Razor surrounded Lexi on one side while Diesel was on her other side. Razor looks at the wolves surrounding us. “ What are these things? They smell like regular wolves but something is off about them.” Razor asked. “ I don’t know. The first time Lexi was attacked Luther and Melissa said something about rabid red eyed wolves. These must be like them. They have to be after Lexi.” I said. “ Over my dead body will they get her.” Razor growled at the wolves. “ I’m with you.” I agreed.
