I gasped as the bar seemed to freeze, even the jukebox went silent. Then chairs scraped back as others stood up, and for a heartbeat I feared there was about to be a bloody brawl. We were strangers here. And although I did not understand exactly how the biker world worked, it was offensive for a guest to fight a host in their own home. And what if this boy was the son of someone important? But right then, laughter spread round the tables, as the tension broke and the wild mood of the bar burned brighter.

Irvin angrily demanded. "Another war... As if you can call the first one a war. It was an attack on our pack and your pack massacred my pack. You call it a war?" The other guy also started to get angry but his voice remained calm. "What are you talking about?" Irvin was now more confused than angry. "You wouldn't know of course because your father is a coward and he wouldn't tell you that." The guy chuckled bitterly but Irvin wasn't going to stand back and listen to someone insult his father.
