Wren looked frightened but took the chance to open the wooden door and run as fast as her feet can allow her. Suddenly she got startled by a pack of wolves, Wren couldn't feel her legs nor her heart, she felt like she would pass out any moment from fright, she quickly looked behind her at the cottage, then stole a glance at the wolves, the young Luna took few steps back terrified of the creatures that stood gracefully in front of her. At the sight of an angry injured Alexander, the wolves made a circle sheltering their hyperventilating Luna. Alexander took few steps back when a black huge lycan wolf appeared, all the wolves showed their necks in submission while the King howled in anger.

It amused Wren to see him acting just like a happy puppy. Wren shifted into her red wolf. When she did the male froze in front of her. Clearly mesmerized. Wren wondered if she had the effect on him that he had had on her. After a moment he approached her. She allowed him to approach and sniff her. He then nuzzled her fur and rested his head atop of hers. When he stepped back to admire her again she jumped to the side with a playful yip. She jumped a couple more times before yapping at him again. Then quick as lightning she turned and raced away from him. The black wolf was quick to catch up to her. They ran all through the meadow, jumping, nipping, and rolling one another in the tall grass.

Renna I felt an overwhelming exhaustion engulfing me as I tirelessly moved from one wounded member of my pack to another. The chaotic sounds of battle filled the air, but amidst it all, a strange silence enveloped my mind. It was as if my wolf, usually ever-present, had retreated into the depths of my consciousness. I couldn’t dwell on the peculiarity, though, for there was no time. My focus had to remain on tending to my pack. Unable to actively fight alongside them, I offered what help I could by gently healing their wounds, even if only in small measures.

Time is wasted enough without having to add to this trivial problem. The wolf Elder Brahma growled again, this time sending command through mind to all the wolves at once to Linda. In a flash, the nine wolves and a vampire-woman were already running at inhuman speeds. The sky was completely dark as they cut through the silence of the forest. The smaller beasts quickly moved aside before the demon wolves passed them. A few minutes later Linda and the wolf group stopped the run at an opening that was wide enough. The wolf Elder Brahma roared, then growled several times and took a few steps back. The others followed.

As Jenna and Logan celebrated their victory, they suddenly heard a loud roar coming from the forest. They looked up and saw a huge, black wolf standing at the edge of the clearing. The wolf's eyes glowed yellow, and it snarled at Jenna and Logan. Jenna felt her heart skip a beat. She knew that this was no ordinary wolf—it was an Alpha werewolf, and it was here for revenge.
