I asked. "I went last year," he said. "I entered the mixed media category. I did not win but I saw the winner receive the keys to the gallery space in person. It is very real." I folded the flyer carefully and held it in my hand. "You should enter," Andrew said. "You have six weeks. That is enough time to put something serious together if you start now."

Listed underneath were the prizes which consists of a writer of the year award, a Publishing offer, and a live interview to publicise the book and writer. All those things were something I wanted so badly, but I couldn't go through that terrible ordeal of trying to conquer my fear again, definitely not anytime soon. Under the list of contest winners was the contact of the host, so I typed the number on my phone and took a deep breath before dialling it. The receiver answered the phone on the third ring. "Hello, this is Kimberly from Maryland Writing School. How can I help you?" "Hi, I'm Rhea Knight, the Author of Royal Deception."

My shift will end soon. And I still I have to finish my final draft for the writing contest! It’s due next week. I thought. I joined the “Writer's Luck” contest to win $700. Not only that, you'll be an automatic member of an elite book club called “The Golden Phoenix” wherein you will meet many personalities and big people.
