Flora’s P.O.V I wrapped a bandage around Clay’s abdomen, careful not to tighten the cloth too much so his wounds could heal on their own. I was slowly starting to realize that being a rogue didn’t only mean mental instability, but there were certain physical drawbacks as well. Rogues didn’t heal as fast as any normal wolf would and they also became highly aggressive when injured. Even now, Clay was gritting his teeth together to stop himself from lashing out. I wasn’t worried though. Clay had always had iron control whenever he was with me, but what I was worried about, wasn’t his physical but mental state.

Not having to worry about rogue attacks was probably the only advantage of being a rogue. When Lucianne asked Stella if she could share any specific scenes that she loved at night, the teenager’s eyes sparkled and she got out her phone with an excited grin to show Lucianne pictures from her photo gallery. Lucianne immediately noticed the no-service icon, and concluded that this was one of the precautions rogues took to avoid being detected.

The rest of the evening was more casual. We all hung out and got to know each other a little better. The two other rogues present were Darius and Paula. Darius has been a rogue for 5 months, but he’s been here for about two weeks now, and he’s almost ready to join the pack. Paula is newer like me. She’s only been a rogue for 3 months, and she got here 8 days ago, but she already seems pretty comfortable.

I said trying to make it sound fun and playful. “You youngins these days. Back when I was a young one, yes everything you said was true. But in today’s world being a Rogue isn’t what it used to be. But we do have a few Alphas that come through here. But I will give you space to work and give you safety. But I don’t want whatever drama that is going on in your personal life to affect my business. You hear me?” He said sternly.

Whoever was behind this, had come far more than prepared for the situation. His gaze swept across the battlefield, realization settling in. The rogues possessed an inexplicable ability to heal at an alarming rate, rendering the attacks of his pack almost futile. Panic gripped Xavier as he saw his warriors valiantly fighting, inflicting damage that proved temporary against the rapid healing of the rogues. "Alpha! We can't keep this up! They're healing too fast!" Cameron's voice echoed in his mind, a note of desperation tainting his usual resolve.

I had to win, because the alternative was watching two Rogues maul Ronan. The Rogue shifted to human form and jumped at me. I dropped my shoulder and grabbed his extended arm. I twisted just as I had practiced with Jordan and Marcus. The Rogue went flying into a nearby tree trunk. I rushed forward, and slashed at him with my knife. I didn’t think I could bring myself to kill him, but I could surely hurt him. He got an arm up fast, and my knife scored a long, red line along his arm. “Little bitch!” he yelled.

The ones that shifted had some kind of black goo dripping from their mouth, it was absolutely disgusting and i knew it had something to do with whatever gave then this strength. Shifting to my wolf-man form i rush over to the fight and once again i begin to tear into the rogues. One thing I wasn't prepared for though was the rate at which they healed. Not only did they have speed and strength their healing had increased as well and i immediately knew this would be trouble for us. The empty feeling spread through me again and i turned to see one of our pack members fall face first into the ground dead. This angered Xavier and i because these rogues had not taken one but two of our family memb

His best friend's wolf was standing guard in front of his mate, he was hurt but that didn't decrease the resolve in his eyes to protect his mate. The number of dead rogues were almost three dozens, and most of them were unrecognizable. There were still lots of rogues surrounding them but it wasn't a big deal to Xavier. "Save my sister, leave them to me" Xavier mindlinked Shane (Raymond's wolf) Xavier growled loudly and joined the fight, he didn't give any chance for the rogues to recover from the shock of his growl before he starts ripping them apart. Shane bowed respectfully before shifting back to his human form, Raymond carried his injured mate and ran off to safety.

He made him kneel again and the alpha repeated, "why did you trespass my territory and attack my pack members?" This time the rogue glared at him and spat blood on his shoes. Xavier's eyes flashed red before he raised his hand, stopping the guard from beating the rogue to death. Xavier bent low and took off his shoes and examined them. Then with superhuman speed he slapped the rogue with the shoes. More bone cracking sounds were heard and the rogue fell to the floor, curling his body in pain. More blood covered his face and it would be extremely difficult to find the cut. "You are either foolish or brazen to drop your filthy blood on my shoes. Your life isn't worth this pair of shoes, you us

I leapt at the second rogue knocking him off of the warrior but as we rolled the rogue landed on top of me with his teeth snapping at my face. My interference allowed the warrior to counter attack and sink his fangs into the rogue's throat and rip it open, coating me with the blood. The battle was nearly over and I saw Gamma Xavier’s wolf Torch do something to one of the rogue’s that looked like the rogue was being electrocuted. The wolf dropped to the ground in a jittering, drooling heap and the remaining rogues began to run away. I started to run in their direction when Thunder, Alpha Kieran’s wolf, gave the command to stand down and I stopped.
