Yokai Book Novels & Stories

It's been two weeks since I arrived, and I must say, these past few days have been nothing short of interesting. Alex and I have gotten really close; he took me on a tour of the town, which was informative and eye-opening. I discovered that this place is home to several supernatural creatures besides werewolves, such as lycans, chimeras, vampires, witches, fairies, and many more that I can't recall.

Reiner stepped back and bowed respectfully. "Boss." Crain strained his neck to look at the newcomer. Despite his battered state, he could tell from the way the guards treated him that this man was incredibly powerful. Damien walked over and squatted down in front of Crain, looking him dead in the eye with a calm, dangerous gaze. "And who the hell are you?" Crain demanded, his voice shaking. Damien looked right back at him with an icy stare. "I'm not a public figure, so you probably haven't heard of me. I'm Damien Blackwood. But some people call me the Living Yama."

I looked up into the rearview mirror and saw my aunt looking at me through it. How the fuck does she do that? She smiled at me. I knew then that she felt what I did. I sat back, realizing, my life was gonna change whether I wanted it to or not. ... It was a bit after 11pm and everyone was pretty much in bed. I laid awake just thinking. I sat up and grabbed the mysterious book from off the table next to the bed I was in. I took a real good look at it. It looked to be really old, yet it was practically in mint condition. I flip back several pages to see what section of the book this is in. 0 A knock at the door startles Yuki, and I roll my eyes. She's so jumpy. 0 "Roman, how is the young man?" I ask. 0 "He's the same, how are things here? Did you find anything?" 0 "Yuki has been going through the Book of Shadows in painstaking detail." I say. 0 He smirks and is thinking what I was thinking when she said she was going to dive deep into it. A waste of time.

He nodded slowly and before he could say anything more, the bedroom door swung open. Erick and Jess stood at the doorway; they were both breathless, so we knew they were running. Jess held one of the thickest books I had ever seen; it was a large brown book with golden decals swirled throughout the cover. In the front of the book, in a silvery oval was a white infinity symbol I didn’t quite recognize and then written in white above the symbol read: Book of Magic. “Woah…” I breathed, staring at the book. It was real.

Within minutes, a towering stack of fifteen thick volumes sat before us. I stared at them, my eyes wide. “This is going to take me forever to read.” Tobi chuckled and handed me one. “We’ll skim what we can.” The leather cover was worn, the title etched in faded gold: Aruyios – The Legend and the Lore. Inside were maps, illustrations of pack crests, depictions of ceremonies, and a full-page sketch of a massive stone palace. “Is this where your family lives?” I asked, tilting the book toward him.
