The mark on my hand pulsed in answer, and for a moment, I felt the heartbeat of the land — faint, uneven, but still there. Then I heard it. A whisper. Soft at first, like the rustle of leaves, but then clearer — words carried on the wind. Remember. My throat tightened. “Lyanna?” I whispered. But it wasn’t her voice. This one was younger, rawer, trembling with emotion. You promised you’d come back. I froze. “Who are you?” The whisper came again, closer this time. You left us in the dark. The air shimmered before me, and for an instant, I saw shapes — outlines of wolves moving through mist. Dozens of them. Their eyes glowed faintly, their forms translucent.

The Devourer's chilling whisper echoed through the streets: > *"They will leave you." Nyxar stiffened. "I know that voice." > *"The Moon Kingdom grows stronger. Your people will always kneel. Take what belongs to you."*> A younger version of Nyxar appeared in the vision, looking around desperately. "Who's there?" The whisper grew softer, almost comforting: > *"You don't want war. You only want equality."*> Present-day Nyxar watched the memory unfold. He saw his younger self resisting at first. Days passed, then weeks, but the whisper never stopped. It poisoned every thought, every fear, and every insecurity until, one day, he finally answered it.

"Mom, there's nothing left worth holding onto anymore… At least I can leave this world together with you, and that way you won't be lonely… "Besides, even if you die, you can get reborn again, right? I'll always be with you!" The voice sounded sympathetic, yet every word pushed me toward self-destruction. I had long wondered how all of this was possible, and it finally clicked. Someone knew that I had been reborn, that I was carrying a new life, and was carefully manipulating me towards the very same ending as my past life. I finally understood! Ben and May's wedding celebration showed no signs of stopping, even after a few days.

Zylia. The voice came soft, like a sigh. I turned sharply, searching, but all I saw was mist. “Who’s there?” No answer. Just silence… and then another whisper, closer. You should have stayed. My hands trembled. “Show yourself.” The fog shifted ahead of me, twisting, forming something like a figure. It wasn’t solid , just a shimmer, a silhouette outlined by pale light. A woman’s voice came through, calm and sorrowful. “You walk too far into what isn’t meant for you.”

Victor whispered into her ear, his gravelly voice sending a wild shiver straight down her spine. In one swift, powerful movement, Victor stepped off the ledge and plunged directly into the deep end of the pool. A loud splash echoed through the room as the heated blue water swallowed them whole. The shock of the water hit Serena instantly. Panic, cold and blinding, exploded in her chest. She couldn't swim. The moment her head went under, she lost all sense of direction. The water felt heavy, pulling her down into the deep, dark abyss. She opened her eyes underwater, seeing nothing but glowing blue bubbles and Victor's massive, dark shadow holding her.

The sky above her was black and endless. The ground beneath her was smooth as glass. And in front of her A shape stood waiting. Lyla’s breath slowed. The whisper was no longer just a voice. It had taken form. Tall. Cloaked in shifting shadows. Neither man nor wolf. Something in between. Something older. The figure lifted its head, and though she couldn’t see its eyes, she felt its gaze. "You came." Lyla lifted her chin. "You gave me no choice." The whisper laughed. Low. Amused.

His fingers paused on my spine for half a heartbeat, then kept moving. “Then the Ferals came back,” I continued, “With that white creature. It had a face this time. It had golden eyes, Xander. It called me Moonwhisperer, said I’ve already chosen you, that I have to let you in all the way or the veil tears. It said power is waiting if I stop fighting.” Xander’s arms tightened. “Gravok,” he said quietly. I blinked. “What?” “That’s what the white creature is. A Gravok. They herd Ferals. I’m so fucking sorry I wasn’t there to protect you.”
