I only feel the sound of my pulse. For a moment, I didn't know if I was still alive. In other words, I don't know if I have the faith to live.

What have I done? I keep walking when I see people laying on top of each other in piles of blood and bodies. My breathing becomes erratic. “The land will bleed. You belong to me!” I turn and everywhere I look, all I see is death. Tears fall down my face as I panic. What did I do?

Damn. My heart pounds frantically in my chest as I feel something wet and sticky between my legs. With trembling hands, I reach down, my fingers coming away slick with crimson, the metallic scent of blood filling the air. God, why am I bleeding? Horror washes over me as I realize what's happening, and I feel bile rise in my throat, threatening to choke me. The blood continues to flow, staining the pristine floor beneath me in dark, ominous streaks, a stark contrast against the polished surface.

My vision flickered and spots of black clouded my sight, but I did not know why. It could not be grief, could it? That would be too humiliating. 'Lana Branch, you really misjudged him, didn't you?'

I closed the apps, feeling more alone than before I’d asked. I stood up, the dull ache of my cramps a constant, rhythmic reminder of the "near miss" at the motel. I went to the bathroom, the fluorescent lights flickering as I changed my pad, the sight of the blood almost comforting—a sign of a life that hadn't been derailed yet.

IANNA’POV Blood oozed out of the wound fast making me feel dizzy. I thought I was going to pass out soon. I looked around trying to find something to stop the bleeding with when the blood started coming out slower and slower. I was shocked thinking that I had bled out all the blood in my body. Before I could start making myself crazy Sandra said, “Don’t be stupid, I am healing you and if you have bled all the blood out of your body then you would be dead.”
