When it finally arrives, I get in right away and look for an empty seat but it seems like there are no seats available, so I just stand on the side near the door. It was a bright and sunny day. I was thinking of a new caricature to make for the school news paper. Where out of nowhere, I see someone standing right next the window. I couldn't stop myself from looking at her. It's really annoying, with so many things I can forget why my book is still there. At 11pm, after eating dinner I went up to my room again. I still can't move on from the book I left behind. My Mom noticed earlier that I looked sad so I told her the reason and she said that I shouldn't be sad because she will buy me a new one. But how? Based on the publishing company announcement there will be no second batch for that book. Haysst. It’s really annoying.

Hailey’s POV I snuggled under the thick, warm duvet, feeling the faint thrill of solitude as I flipped through the novel I’d borrowed a few days ago from Alpha Grant’s study. His collection was impressive, filled with volumes I could lose myself in for hours. As I flipped through the pages, immersed in the novel with the thought of Argon’s drama at the back of my mind, my peace was short lived.

However, what I didn’t expect was that someone else wasn’t ready to let me go. The next day, an unfamiliar name appeared in my inbox. The email contained no words and only a link.

I stuffed the last piece of clothing into the suitcase and snapped it shut, then I looked around the apartment. Having lived here for five years, my presence was everywhere, from the paintings on the walls to the throw pillows on the couch and the plants on the balcony. Now, those very details felt like a cruel joke. I wheeled my suitcase toward the living room and paused to look at the calendar. New Year’s Day was tomorrow. A fresh start and a brand-new year. Without hesitation, I reached for my phone and reserved a seat on the first high-speed train heading to Cedar Hollow, my hometown.

Levi POV. “Yeah, we’re good. You okay?” I asked, pressing the phone to my ear as I leaned against the kitchen counter. Mom immediately launched into it, her voice bright with that familiar excitement that always made me smile. “I’m perfect! I got new books yesterday — you know that little bookstore on Maple? They had this new book in their series, 'I'm not yours, vito' and two thrillers I’ve been waiting for. I stayed up way too late yesterday.”

She instructed her best friend and rushed to the bathroom. "What's this?" Tasha found something on her desk. she picked up the booklet and turned the pages, "A new novel?" she exclaimed. "Wait!" Arielle shouted from the bathroom, she had the habit to write it down instead of typing her stories, she used her gift to write 2-3 chapters of her new novel last night before going to bed. She rushed out with the toothbrush still on her hand. "Give that to me." "Nope. You're writing a new novel? A romance novel at that?" Tasha ran around the room reading the notes.
