I believe you. I believe in what you can do." She talked like a motivational speaker and at a point, I began to think of my life.

My second life started with me having a lot of regrets, and now it’s at a point of having no regrets about the way I lived again. I tried to be everything I couldn’t be. I can’t say I didn’t fail, I did, and that’s ok. I don’t mind failing. Because failure was a part of my journey and a part of me who sought growth. To achieve something huge, if I need to fail a few times, I would gladly embrace those failures. What matters is I didn’t give up. I kept trying, and that is why I am actually proud of myself. I am sure similar thoughts would be running through Janus’ and Reese’s minds as well.

I may fall but giving up isn't even part of the choices. I know I won't always win, I won't always reach victory, but I'll still try. There are always times where I'll fail but that doesn't mean I'm a failure already because being alive itself already made me a winner. And besides, I may have failed but that is still me. That's what made me complete and that won't describe me as me. I will still raise my head up and say "I didn't actually fail, I won because that's the reason why I'm strong."

He started talking to himself, his eyes fixed on the slides. "I thought I would finally make a breakthrough after everything I have done. And yet it has all ended in failure." His shoulders slumped. "Meaning I do not live up to finding solutions at all. I can't call my self a scientist." I stepped closer to him. "That is not true. Even successful people experience failures. They learn from it. They grow with it. Instead of seeing it as a wasted effort, see it as steps toward your end goal."

"You are not a failure. And you will never be. A failure is someone who gives up on what they wish to achieve." Shiro leaned back into the tub. He had to pull himself back out of this. He couldn't be talking like this, not when he was so close to achieving the one thing he had strived for his whole life. He couldn't be selfish when it came to this. There were too many things at risk. "What else were you going to say?" he asked her. His sanity was finally coming back to him. And slowly he was gaining control of his emotions again. He would have to meditate more to make sure that he didn't lose to his emotions at another time.
