Runaway To My Alpha Brother-In-Law
I keep holding him, running my fingers through his hair, whispering soft reassurances until the tension in his body starts to ease.
For a moment, there’s silence. Just the two of us, sitting on the floor in the dark, surrounded by the shattered pieces of his phone and the weight of everything left unsaid.
Finally, he whispers, “I don’t deserve this.”
“Yes, you do,” I reply gently. “You deserve help. You deserve to get better. You deserve to be happy.”
He doesn’t respond, but I can feel the weight of those words sinking in, slowly, hesitantly, as if he’s not sure whether to believe them yet. But it’s a start.
