You Have Arrived At Your Destination Novels & Stories

Cool air brushes my skin as I walk deeper into the terminal. Maybe I really needed this. Even if only for a little while. *** Hours later, the plane touches down. A gentle jolt. A low rumble beneath my feet. “Ladies and gentlemen, we have arrived in Zurich. Local time is—” Applause scatters through the cabin as seatbelts click open. People rise, reaching for bags, voices filling the narrow space. I follow the slow movement forward, stepping out into crisp night air at the base of the stairs.

My heart swells with a mix of pride, pleasure, and gratitude for the successful trip. A sleek black car awaits me just a short distance from the plane, arranged prior to my arrival to transport me home. The attendants efficiently transfer my luggage to the car's trunk, and we exchange polite farewells before I slip into the vehicle. The car glides smoothly away, carrying me to my destination. I arrive home just past 2 a.m., mentally reproaching myself for deciding to return at such a late hour. Nevertheless, the anticipation of Aiden's reaction when he sees me keeps me going.

He spent an entire year dealing with things in the Scott Group and clearing house. When it was safe, he sent me an email saying he missed his wife and child. After I had sneaked out, I went to Bellum city, then I made a detour and went to C city. Finally, with a makeover, wig, and unsuspecting car, I reached the villa in S city where you were growing rather well. Your mother did not get morning sickness. She had a great appetite and no complications. She was two months pregnant by the time I had arrived.

"We've arrived at our destination." My forehead wrinkles. I look ahead, and it's just a parking lot. There's nothing else here. If we were going to a restaurant, there are no buildings around. Oh, wait... there's one building in the distance that's quite bright. Is that our destination? "What are we doing here?" I'm still a little jet-lagged, not fully awake from the comfortable nap I had earlier. I don't know why, but maybe during my days off, taking a nap became something that made me comfortable, which is why I quickly dozed off like earlier.

But alas, the car stopped and I heard two knocks on the tinted window that separated us and the driver which signaled that we had arrived at our destination - Neugdae Bando, or Wolf Peninsula in Korean. I gave Hailey one last soft kiss on her lips before—reluctantly—pulling away. “Thank you, Hunter…” She whispered softly before squeezing my hand. “No, thank you, baby. You have no idea how much you’ve changed my life and I’m here for you, good or bad. You’re stuck with me.” I teased and her cheeks flushed red, making my heart skip at the sound of her quiet giggle.

That is the sole purpose of the marriage, of course. The car came to a stop. "Sir, we are here," the driver voiced out. I shifted my gaze in his direction and looked through the wheel screen. We have arrived at the airport.

There was a look of concern on his face, and it made me worried. I took a deep breath. "Is everything okay, Lucan? Sophia?" I asked. "The log claims we arrived at our destination," he answered. I looked around, my heart thudding loudly in my chest. We were in the middle of nowhere. No one was in sight, so how could it be possible that we had arrived at our destination. "Are you sure the log isn't broken?"

Forgive me for leaving you behind. I cried the whole way to the terminal. My eyes were already nearly swollen shut from all the endless weeping. “Miss, we’ve arrived,” the driver called out to me. I quickly handed him the fare and stepped out of the vehicle. I looked around. There were a few people waiting for buses, some sitting on concrete benches. Others were drinking coffee or eating instant cup noodles. My gaze fell on the huge clock mounted high on the wall of the terminal. It was already one o’clock in the morning.

Will it happen? As I finally reached the destination. I just received a call after claiming my papers in office. It’s just an unknown number, thus I made a slide touch to answer button and ask, “Hello?” “Hi. Can we meet?”

I curiously muttered. "We have reached our destination," he said. When trying to suppress his laugh. Why is he laughing? What is so funny here? "Fine! Stop giving me that look, it seems like you were admiring the whole place that you didn't know that we have reached," he teased. I rolled my eyes at him "How can I know that we have arrived when I haven't been to this place?"
