I thought, “he’ll expect me to cover for him too. This is his training.” And speaking of them… Around the training grounds the next morning, Zane raised his voice loud enough for everyone to hear. “If I see one more pile of paperwork dumped on my desk, I swear I’ll burn the whole damn office!” The warriors roared with laughter. Travis, distracted by his own duties, tripped mid-drill and landed flat on his back. There was more laughter. Nate, the only one who didn’t complain, muttered under his breath as he corrected their mistakes.

He introduced himself and offered her a handshake which she took. Jade paused, she knows that name. She'd heard it before. “I wish we met sooner.” He continued. “I've been dying to meet you.” “Why?” Zane admired her beauty. “Let's just say I like taking what doesn't belong to me.” He smiled and let go of her hand. “What do you want?” Jade asked. “Xavier's head.” He stated. Jade looked at him, lifting her chin with a smirk. Zane was a physically built man and also had tattoos just like Xavier although he was bigger than her husband.

The bodyguard beside Xander stepped forward. "Mr. Zane isn't someone you can afford to mess with." Steven laughed like it was a joke. "Mr. Zane? Don't tell me you're actually trying to say HE'S Xander Zane." Xander didn't flinch. "I am Xander Zane." The entire hallway—and the livestream—froze. Everyone knew the story. Xander Zane had been in a coma for years. No way he could be standing here, looking like a whole damn storm.

Meeting with his teammates, throwing parties, and taking pictures together for the gram are all things you’ve got to do to make this seem more realistic.” I’m toying with the buttons of my sweatshirt as Zane lectures us. My heart’s doing a speedy dive against my ribcage, and the tension snapping through me makes it impossible for me to keep all of this down.

Evelyn's POV "I, Alpha Kyle Turner, reject you, Evelyn Sanders, as my mate." Alpha Kyle hoarse voice boomed in my ears making me freeze on my tracks, his voice laced with disgust. Crack! A cracking sound resounded inside my body and I felt as if a part of me was forcefully torn and taken away. My wolf howled in pain but there was nothing I could do about it. Talia softens a little. “Yeah, but he’s into you. And if a guy like that is willing to risk his reputation for you? You better own it.” I don’t know if that’s true. But when Lisa is done with my hair and makeup, and I look at myself in the mirror, I almost believe it.

“I’m warning you, Kade. Let her go or this ends badly. Brother or not I will end your life here and now. Dane was extremely angry, as evidenced by the steam practically bursting from his ears. He warned, “This is your last opportunity to walk away from her.” Kade teased his brother by running his hand across my outer thigh and over my lower abdomen.
