An accented moan came out of her mouth as Zeus sucked her tongue. Zeus broke the kiss and stared at her eyes. "God, I don't want to leave." Because of what she heard, she immediately distanced herself from Zeus, and he just laughed. "Alright, go. Ares is waiting for you. He might leave you." "Wait, I have something to give you." Zeus stared at her for a few minutes. His eyes were full of emotions. She saw him take something from his pocket. It was a gold bracelet with five charms, which are: heart, moon, star, sun, clouds, and in those charms there are letters attached, which are F, R, E, Y, and A.

Zeus explained everything to Dabria in a low tone. He looked up into her eyes. With the help of the back of his hand, Zeus wiped her tears away from her eyes. He stood up and crawled on top of her. Dabria gasped as Zeus had pushed her flat on the soft metrus. Her heart started drumming erratically inside her rib cage. Zeus intertwined his fingers with hers. He pinned her on the metrus. His face slid towards the crock of her neck. Dabria closed her eyes. She was breathing heavily. "This is going to hurt a little." Zeus whispered softly in her ear. Before she could understand what he was talking about, Zeus' fangs dug deeply inside her neck. Dabria gasped in pain. But at the same time, she fel

“I just asked you…where will you go?” “You know it already that I can’t run away from you afar because of this fuckin’ mark! Do you still want to torment me more?” My tone was harsh when I showed off that burnt circle mark around my wrist, making Zeus exhale a big sigh as he kept staring at me. His eyes looked a bit glum and droopy, but he didn’t object my command and only let out another sigh. “Fine…I will…see you off, later.” In a cold, dejected voice he muttered but before he was about to turn around, Zeus suddenly marched a step closer and tucked something in my right hand.

Beside it lay a small branch of olive leaves, picked from the ancient tree that had become a symbol of their new way of being. Footsteps echoed from the hallway outside his door—heavy but measured steps that suggested someone important was approaching, moving with purpose but not urgency. A moment later, Zeus appeared in the doorway, leaning against the frame with arms crossed and a contemplative expression on his face. He wore simple linen tunics today instead of his usual formal robes, their natural color and loose fit giving him a more approachable appearance than usual. His hair was still slightly tousled from sleep, and there were lines around his eyes that spoke of both age and newfoun

“Zara, are you sure? I don’t want you to do this because of Mel or feel pressured to do it.” “I want to, but I am not ready for it, you know, so I understand if you don’t want to mark me, I won’t be angry. She whispers and looks down to the floor. ‘Don’t make mate sad.’ Zeus growls in my head. ‘I don’t want to make her sad. But marking her. I am scared ill loose control, Zeus. I don’t want to hurt her.’ I tell him. ‘I won’t let you hurt her.’ Zeus promise.

I wasn't ready to move on, not yet. I walk out of my room, hugging my clothes, and at the same time, Ares, my brother, comes out of the bathroom while steam from inside is smoking out. His short black hair is damped and loose, and his five o'clock shadow has been shaved as the towel wrapped around his waist reveals his torso with tattoos of the Filipino sun on his right chest and a Japanese design covering his whole right arm. He has another one on his back with the Greek words agape, pistis, and theos.

The sight of her, resplendent in her multicolored fur, with the unmistakable marking of a pizza slice tattoo etched upon her shoulder, down to her belly, stirred something within him. In that moment, he knew with a certainty that resonated deep within his soul—she was the one. The chosen vessel through which the goddess would deliver salvation to their land which was about to be polluted by corrupt power. With the crescent moon emblazoned upon her forehead, she stood as a beacon of hope in the encroaching darkness, a symbol of the ancient power that coursed through her veins.

What was she going to do with her now? "What are you going to do with her?" One of the men asked, mirroring her thoughts. "Nothing interesting, except of course, if I want to scry for something," Zipporah said dryly. The witch was just about to let go of her face when something caught her attention. Zipporah blinked and turned Bernice's head sideways to get a better look at her neck, then inhaled a sharp breath "The mark of Zeus." What mark? "The mark of Zeus on a cloud nymph," Zipporah repeated, dazed.

Up close, I could see the fear she carried, just like me she didn't want her father here. Zeus stood far ahead, near the center platform where the lava light made everything look carved in gold and shadow. He was in human form, dressed in royal black and deep crimson, the fabric made him more handsome and I felt like my heart was hammering in my chest. He looked composed and ready.
