The woman is completely zombified but still conscious. She's restrained." For the past year, Hans and Winnie had wandered like ghosts around the perimeter of various safe zones. The side effects of the first-generation vaccine had turned Winnie into a conscious zombie, while Hans stubbornly took her everywhere seeking medical help. "Should we expel them?"

Even the stars seemed to hide from fear behind the clouds. Even though Chase, Yara, and Walter's cultivations were considered high, they could feel their souls tremble from the roar. The zombies suddenly knelt, as if waiting for their king to arrive. A massive object appeared in the dark. It floated in the air. It had a dragon-like body and six claws.

Sparks flew as steel met steel, each strike faster, heavier, deadlier. The team fought on, their movements becoming more desperate as the zombies refused to die. The giant zombie's arm was severed, but it continued to crawl towards them, its jaws snapping wildly. The woman zombie's head was chopped off, but its body continued to writhe and twist, its claws still snapping. Gavin's sword sliced through the hulking mass's spine, finally bringing it to the ground. But as he turned to check on the others, he saw the giant zombie's severed arm wrapping around Barbara's ankle, pulling her towards its jaws.

I ask, needing a confirmation of what I already know. "You already know Sarrtina. There's Zacharie and Hasiah and they are just as dangerous as Sarrtina, if not more. Then there's Achilles." But the creatures were too fast. They had evolved in the bitter cold. White fur. Beast-like speed. A single bite snapped Rodriguez's neck. The blood froze instantly. "Fall back! To the base!" Ethan grabbed Chloe and scrambled for the snowmobile. The two remaining guards laid down suppressing fire.
