Melnyk, Richard and Zafira had tirelessly struggled to come up with a plan to finish the humans. They hoped and prayed that the humans will be confident enough to come out and fight them in the open field, but unfortunately, their wish never saw the light of the day. They had situated spies almost everywhere in the kingdom of Helores, they had planned almost everything diligently, from provoking the humans by killing their species down to provoking them with a letter requesting for them to leave the city of Helores as they threatened the humans with war.

Humans were often afraid of them, or worse, saw them as nothing more than animals to be hunted and killed. "What do you suggest, Zavier?" Sergio asked, voicing the thoughts of the rest of the pack. Zavier looked at Sergio, his eyes full of wisdom and understanding. "We need to find a way to show the humans that we are more than just wild animals. We need to show them that we are intelligent creatures with emotions and a sense of community. We need to find a way to communicate with them on their level." The pack murmured their agreement, but Sergio could see the doubt in their eyes. How could they communicate with humans when they spoke such different languages?

In a matter of seconds, darts flew to them, and they whimpered and howled before they laid on the floor and started to fall asleep. The zoo crew finally walked to the sleeping animals, and the woman smiled at me directly. She clicked her boot once more, and her wolf walked back to her, she caressed his maw, and he pushed his head on her hand. The security team asked her about him, and she showed them his papers. So people could have wolves as pets now? That was surprising.

Cheyenne frowned. “Why wouldn’t you stay and defend it?” “Because of people like Detective Otis. Humans find dead bodies of their loved ones and they want to avenge them. It will cause others to figure out that we exist. It’ll be one big problem.” “Why do they hunt you guys anyway? For like clothes or sport?” “No idea but when they shoot, they don’t check to see if we’re even dead. They just kind of leave us there.” Cheyenne frowned at that.

He said, his bright smile never fading. Let Sei go? But then that would mean I'll have to go back to dissecting frogs! And they can't let him go. He may not be what we were looking for but he's also something we've never known in humankind. His hair, eyes, strength! Are they just going to ignore all of that because of a bigger, more eye-catching animal? Sounds just like something the government would do now that I think of it.

"Well. Now is your chance. Tell me everything." And the poor man spills everything. After listening to his story and the sob story added to it, Lesley stood up on her feet. "Well, it looks like I've got no use keeping you alive. Felicia, kill him." "No, Luna. He's way too useless to kill, too. Let's make his death be beneficial." Lesley gives a subtle smile to Felicia. "You're thinking what I'm thinking?" Felicia nods, once again. "Humans feed the zoo animals way too less. Maybe they can eat their fill by hunting this fatso down."

The world watched with bated breath as Luna stepped onto the stage, her gaze determined and resolute. Zoe asked, thinking it would be almost like having superheroes, but Ryder's face got dark. "Remember what I told you about humans experimenting on us because of our healing capabilities? It would be a lot worse if everyone knew. We would be treated like freaks or locked up because humans think we'll go on killing sprees. Most of us just want to be left alone." Ryder answered sadly. He had seen members of his pack killed because humans thought they were going to attack. There were bad ones, just like there were bad humans, but it was the exception, not the rule.

“He must have convinced her he loved her and then risked changing to turn her. Only she would have been terrified. Humans can’t deal with what we are, Diana. Can’t you understand that?” This wasn’t about the woman. She figured this was about Diana wanting a human male. “You see now why I didn’t want you involved?” he asked. “If he catches sight of you . . .” He shook his head. Rubbing her temple, she tried to figure out a way to alert the killer’s pack. “The two men at the zoo are probably related to the killer’s pack. We have to send word to them. Find them somehow.”
