Zander’s voice shouted from behind her. She turned just as he lunged past her, shifting mid-air to tackle the rogue wolf. The hallway erupted into chaos as the brothers appeared, their wolves unleashed. Mia stumbled back, her heart racing as she watched the fight unfold. The rogue was strong, but the brothers’ teamwork overwhelmed it. As the rogue fell, blood pooling beneath it, Zander shifted back, his chest heaving. He turned to Mia, his eyes filled with both anger and fear. “Are you hurt?” he demanded, his voice sharp.

Chapter 23: The Weight of Vengeance The castle of Zorana had once been a symbol of strength and unity, but now, it stood as a silent witness to the unraveling of everything Caden had once cherished. Zara had her strength as an advantage, and she fought dirty. If Mia hadn’t had the strength of her mate, Xavier, flowing through her, she would have lost immediately after the fight started. Zara’s claws ripped through Mia’s shoulder, and she fell to the ground, groaning in pain.

His anger fueled him to make the most powerful slash he had ever made. Even though there was no audience to witness his strongest attack, he believed even Kaze with his monstrous capabilities could not take the slash. Swoosh! The blade glared and swung down like a silver meteor, attempting to crush Kaze and consume him. Kaze stood expressionlessly. The moment Zoro jumped at him with the sword, he also lifted another sword off the floor with his foot. With a twist of his wrist, he performed an upper slash to counter the downward slash. Clank!

Their leader now seems weak in their eyes for targeting such a respectable group and it shows. "Thank you. We weren't expecting such manners from the females harvested from Earth. So you must know I am Zor. The females beside me are my fellow Makskins. We are the true prizes this Harvest," Zor says furthering the divide between herself and her comrades. I just bow again. Nothing she says can get past my exterior now. I feel invincible. "Yes, we know who you are, and as for who is chosen first as the best prize...That is yet to be seen," I reply as I slowly raise my head, and lock eyes with her.

"Yes, we know who you are, and as for who is chosen first as the best prize...That is yet to be seen," Xiu replies and my eyes widen as the barely blanketed insult leaves Xiu's lips.

He didn't want to miss anymore. Before long, the door to the room opened. Zeno was the first to enter and it immediately made Zoro bow in respect. The man also immediately pointed at Gina who was looking at them. Zeno smiled at Gina and looked back at the sound of Cia's footsteps entering the room. Seeing that, Zoro immediately ran and the tip of his foot hit the table leg. While enduring the pain, he bowed to greet Cia. "Your Majesty," he said.

“but you know one thing, he was never meant to rule. Neither were you.” A chorus of growls echoed around them as warriors began to gather, torn between loyalty and the shocking betrayal unfolding before them. Zara stood, her chest heaving with fury. “Stand down, or I will rip your throat out myself.” Dorian chuckled. “You really think they’ll follow you? A Beta with a cursed bond?” Zara’s wolf surged inside her. Enough. She lunged forward. Their bodies collided in a blur of claws and fangs. Dorian was fast, but Zara was faster. She dodged his blade, twisted behind him, and sank her claws into his chest, the fight ended before it even started.

She spun around him, landing a playful kick to his side before retreating, a laugh escaping her lips. "Careful," she teased. "You might actually have to try." Marcus chuckled, shaking his head. "Cocky, aren't we?" He advanced again, their sparring intensifying. Zyra leaped back, her eyes glowing as she drew on her witch power. With a swift motion, she created a fiery barrier between them. Marcus stopped short, eyes widening in surprise. "Impressive," he acknowledged, shielding his face from the heat. "But not enough." With a burst of his own energy, he shattered the barrier, charging through the dissipating flames. Zyra was ready, meeting him head-on with a flurry of punches and kicks. Their

Malik also sprinted to attack Zora, and he was set to use Zora's unhinged rage, to his own advantage. In the next few seconds, Malik and Zora clashed in a fierce battle, and the air became instantly thick with resentment. The sounds of snarls and roars echoed through the trees. In the center of the clearing, as the brutal battle got underway. On one side was Malik, standing tall, and his muscles rippling under his fur as he faced off against Zora, who was equally imposing and enraged, fresh off the loss and drowning of his life's work. Zora's golden fur stood at attention, and his powerful muscles rippled as he snarled vigorously at Malik.
