I wasn’t even feeling the soreness of my body from the training I just went through with Becca. In shock I started to stretch. As I processed what had happened, I sat on the floor laughing until my eyes began to tear up. “Err Lee… you ok? What are you doing?” Becca looked at me puzzled. With a deep breath to calm myself I looked at Becca and Mr. Seghal, “I think… I think my power just healed me… I don’t feel sore any more.”

I shook my head again. "Cain doesn't love me. He would never risk his title for me. I promise you that you're wasting your time. I am nobody to him." The admission brought tears to my eyes but I refused to let them fall. Weber sighed. "Cain is the most powerful man in the world," he said. "But he's not the most powerful person in the world." I stared at him. "You're his mate," he said. "You are the most powerful person on this planet. You could snap your fingers and all that the world can offer would be yours."

And it’s growing more restless by the day.” Samantha went still. I stepped closer, barely breathing. “What kind of power?” I asked. Mira shook her head. “I’ve seen elemental witches. Shifters, fae-marked… this isn’t any of them. This feels older. Like it doesn’t belong in this time.”
