Zhao Kai stood there, hands casually in his pockets, eyes fixed on the fountain with open interest. Nodding, Yang Jun reached for another strawberry. He was careful this time, dipping it slowly, concentrating on keeping the chocolate from dripping onto the floor. Zhao Kai leaned in without hesitation and took the strawberry directly from Yang Jun’s fingers. Their hands brushed briefly. Zhao Kai’s eyes widened as he bit into it, clearly pleased. “Hm, it’s so good.” The strawberry had been prepared carefully. Its seeds were removed, as were the stems, leaving it bare and smooth. Juice spilled slightly as Zhao Kai bit down, the fruit ripe and sweet, unmistakably high quality.
