Chapter 74
Patricia just woke up and was about to get out of her room when she received a call from an unknown number. At first, she hesitated but eventually, she then pressed the answer button. And the voice she heard on the other line was very familiar to her.
"Patricia? Is that really you?" Tears immediately threatened to from her eyes.
"Who are you?" Those words almost came out as a whisper.
"Baby? Oh my God! Baby, it's really you!" Her hands started to tremble.
"Who are you?" Patricia asked again, but this time she can no longer hold back her tears.
"You're breaking my heart, baby. Please tell me you remember me." The voice on the other line started to crack. It sounded like crying.
"That's impossible. You're dead. Dad said that you died in the hospital. I was on vacation. Dad sent me away with my friends. When I came back, you were cremated. You had cancer, and you died!"
"I can explain everything, baby."
