Chapter Thirty Six

"Where have you been?"

Napahinto siya sa puno ng hagdan ng marinig niya ang boses ng ama. Marahan siyang lumingon.

"Alam mo bang halos himatayin na ako sa pag-aalala sayo! Umalis ka ng mall ng hindi nagsasabi, and it was at lunchtime. Do you know what time is it now? Alas diyes na ng gabi Ella! My God, I almost called the police if you hadn't show up in less than a minute!" He said while walking back and forth in front of her.

"I'm glad you didn't Papa." Mahina niyang sabi. She suddenly felt guilty looking at her father's worried face. Sa kabila ng may kinalaman ito kung bakit siya na-missing ng ilang oras ay hindi pa rin niya maatim ang mag-alala ito.

"I'm sorry about not saying a word before leaving Sofia's."

"We tried to call you, but you're out of reach! You turn your phone off on purposed! Ano bang nangyayari sayo?"

She was about to open her mouth to explain her part of the bargain, only to find the words stuck on her throat the moment she saw Simon entering from the front doo
