     I waited patiently for him to tell me his secret. All I wanted was for him to trust me enough. His body language was telling me how hard it was for him to talk about her. Was she really that important to him, and whatever happened to her was bad enough for him to suffer like this? 

     I scooted next to him, sat with my legs underneath me, and looked at him intently. He was hesitant, and that made me extend my hand and grab his in reassurance. Why was I caring about this brute vampire?
