Update Schedule - weekends.
"We found a dead body outside the pack territory" Brian's words make a muscle to tick on Adryan's jaw, Jade gasps lightly as she hears this."Which part?" Adryan asks."South-east part Alpha" Brian immediately replies. Adryan's clenches his fist in anger. That was closest to where the elders of the pack lived, what would've happened if some rogue had attacked them? Those were people who stood beside him even when he thought he wasn't capable of being an Alpha at sixteen. Being a Lycan meant that the emotions he felt increased ten folds and Jade could immediately feel his anger rolling off of him in waves, it would make any normal wolf back away from him, but she stood her ground."Let's go" Brian walks out of the house on Adryan's command. Adryan turns to face Jade."Stay here, lock the door after I leave." his voice filled with tension.Jade was about to argue with him to let her come with, but his words stop her."I mean it, Jade. Don't leave the house." he says again, knowing that s
Jade stares in awe at the rows and rows of shelves stacked with books in a chronological order, she was surrounded by books which made her feel giddy. One of the things she enjoyed doing after gaining her eyesight was reading. So she was awestruck the moment she entered the massive library and found the collection of numerous books."Wow" her eyes still glued onto the books in awe, she hears someone chuckle from beside her, causing her to turn and spot a very amused Joan."Sorry" she says with embarrassment, she had completely forgotten about Joan's existence for quite a while there."It's okay, dear, you don't have to be sorry about anything. It's refreshing to see that you share the same love for books, just like Adryan." her last sentence manages to catch Jade's attention immediately."You mean he loves reading?" Jade asks with curiosity."Of course!" Joan exclaims, and with a tiny smirk stretching her lips she continues, "Who do you think this library belongs to?" Jade looks at the
Jade felt the wind around her as she ran through the forest, her nose had picked up Adryan's scent a while back which was mixed among with others, as she travelled further into the path, it became more sparse of any pack members loitering around. Dusk was approaching quickly, it seems like Jade had spent more time in Adryan's personal library with Joan than she thought she did.Jade's heart was beating wildly in her chest with the interminable running she was doing, as she neared more to the southern part of the pack, where the scent of vanilla seemed to be overpowering.Jade comes to a stop when she spots patrol guards ahead of her, she was trying to be light on her feet, so that no one would be able to detect her presence right away, she was also cognizant of hiding her scent.Jade really couldn't figure out what was going on since the patrol guards seemed to obscure her line of sight, she could feel Adryan's presence ahead of her. Jade tries to walk around so that she could get a cl
"Arther?" she replies shakily, her breath uneven. Her words making Adryan turn back around, his blood redeyes meeting her shocked ones.Although the look in his eyes made her want to look away she stood her ground, from her peripheral vision she saw Arther trying to break himself free from the guard's hold which caused them to hit him and hold him down further, this obviously caused Adryan's attention, making him look away from her and towards where the guards were holding down Arther, still in the kneeled position."Take him to the dungeons" Adryan says causing Jade's mind to turn into complete chaos, she knew what exactly he was going to do with Arther, torture him for days until Adryan got his answers."No" She says, catching Adryan's attention immediately, she walks towards where he was standing, she could feel Arther's gaze on her, but she focused her eyes on Adryan's blood red one's, which were narrowed and trained on her."You're not taking him to the dungeons, release him" She
"Well, how long before she wakes up? It's already been…" the voice continues speaking, but all Jade could feel was how her head hurt, like someone was constantly hitting her head with a hammer. She feels her hands twitch first, and slowly she opens her eyes, the blinding lights were the first thing to assault her eye sight, she closes them for a moment and opens them back, letting it adjust to the lighting. She instantly realized that she was in the pack infirmary, the smell of disinfectant entering her senses right away. She starts to sit upright on the bed, when a pair of hands help her, placing their hands on her back, she didn't feel tingles of any form letting her know that it wasn't Adryan. Her eyes meet a pair of honey colored ones."Arther" she says, a small smile spreads on his face."Hey Green" he replies back, his nickname for her brings tears to her eyes, how long has it been since she'd heard that name, she used to hate it when he used to call her that, Arther knew how muc
"Are you done dwelling in self-pity?!" A voice asks, disturbing the calmness he was enjoying until now, Adryan doesn't take his eyes away from the twinkling stars that were scattered throughout the sky. The person takes a seat beside him on the cliff with legs dangling, they were on the cliff that was situated deep in the forest, underneath it was surrounded by water. No wolf wandered so far into the territory hence why Adryan liked to come here and spent some alone time mostly to think and relish in the quiet. "You know running away from things doesn't magically present you with a solution," The person says, looking out at the sky as well. "I'm not running away from anything," he says back, which makes the person look at him in amusement, he tries to ignore her look but turns to face her when she doesn't deter from her blatant staring at him. "She wants to meet you, she didn't physically ask about you, it was more of her looking up eagerly whenever the door to her room would open,
It was dark outside by the time she woke up, her eyes went to the alarm clock placed beside her bed. 3.03 am. it read. She looked around her bed and discovered that Adonis was not in the toddler bed that Adryan had purchased for him a while ago; it was spiderman themed, which Adonis enjoyed, and he didn't make a fuss to sleep with her on her bed. She wasn't worried about his sudden disappearance, for the scent of vanilla lingered in the room like a blanket gave her an idea about his whereabouts. Jade moved the comforter aside as she got up, putting her feet on the chilly ground, which helped a little in waking her up from her sleep-induced state. She'd woken up in the infirmary a few hours before, and the pack doctor had given his approval for her to return to the house. On the way, Jade couldn't help but notice how some pack members looked at Arther with suspicion, and some were even hostile, perhaps because he was still a rogue and carried the scent with him, and Adryan's pack was
"How did you know?..." she trails off, her voice meek, she refused to meet his eyes. She could feel him getting up from his office chair, placing Adonis on the chair, she feels him get closer with how her body started to react to his closeness, warmth spreading to every part of her body as if someone had lit fire to her body. She feels his breath hitting the hairs on her head, she goes to take a step back but his hand on her elbows restricts her movement. "Look at me" he commands, and she curses internally. He was aware of the fact that she wouldn't meet his eyes willingly, the only way she would do so as if he commanded her in his Alpha voice and that's exactly what he did. She looks up, emerald green eyes clashing with ocean blues. Adryan bends a bit so that his face was level with hers. His closeness sent her heart into overdrive, their closeness affected him too in ways he couldn't describe, if she wasn't so focused on their closeness she could have heard the way his heart was b
