“Don’t you think your reaction to her is too much for a rejected mate?” Ciro asked as soon as he got back from sending Erika back to her room.

I had many things I thought I wanted to ask her.

Something along the line of if she wanted to leave was also there.

Yet, the moment I saw her, all thoughts of that flew out of my mind.

“You are overthinking, it’s just Alek being reluctant to part with the fated mate thing.” My reply was curt.

I was unwilling to go there even though I knew that he had been right.
