"You don't want to get start over." He says, as if only now understanding what I've been saying for over thirty minutes. "Neither do I," he says, his lips twitching with a smile he won't let settle.

"You’re in the process of doing so," I nod, trying to see where he is going with this. "But carry on." I urge.

"What if we—"

No. No, no, no!

The realisation hits me like a slap to the face. "Ezra," I warn.

"Hear me out," he says, scooting his chair closer, so close his chest is pressed against the table.

"Respectfully, I think you've had too much to drink now," I say, staring at the wine bottle on the table. He had been drinking more than he ate.

"Not exactly," he counters, "I've barely had a bottle. Listen, I know it doesn't make sense, but what if we got married? Stella doesn't fully comprehend why I need a wife, and she will try to force something, but you're done. You don't expect love or a child of your own. You have those. You seem to understand my situation."

"Stella talks too much, none of it is interesting," he snickers. "Shd happens to have more in common with my teenager than she does me.""Val," I say with a snorted laugh. "You kept our baby's name.""So did you," he counters, "Serenity almost had my balls when she learned of its origin but she came to terms with things, she understood how much it meant to me."My lips pull into a smile, she was A much better woman than I am, I'd never go for the idea. She indeed must have been a wonderful person, I remember being angry at him and him for being together and all she could tell me was she would try to love him as much as I did. God, it angered me, but looking back? She was trying to be nice and things were hard on her dnd too. "I'm glad you had him, Ez.""What about you?" he says, quickly changing the topic. "How did your umm, husband take it?"My blood boils at the mention of him. I've never been so hurt in my life, and what's worse? I can't find peace or retribution. "Never told him

This isn't a date; it's a dinner between two people who once saw each other naked and planned a future they never got to have. AMELIA It's week three of tutoring Alpha Ezra's children, and I must say, it is going better than I expected. The twins started to open up and warm up in our second week together. They listened more, talked more, and, more importantly, learnt more. I've worked with a lot of kids, and Devon? That boy is smart. His sister is, too, but I'm getting the idea his IQ is higher. He soaks up knowledge very fast, and he appears to have a photographic memory. I walk into the house excited for today's lesson but I pause when met with an unfamiliar face. A certain redhead woman in a floral sundress is sitting on the Sofa, legs crossed on the table while watching the doorway. "Hi," she says. Flickering her fingers in a wave motion but not in a regular way, in the way that princesses on Tzv do. "Hi," I echo, offering her a smile. I've gotten so good at smiling over the years, it's starting to feel creepy. "You must be the new tutor," she grins, watching me. "She's Miss Amelia," Serenity say

EZRA A few days ago, Eliza got a call from Amelia letting her know she had arrived and was ready to start work today. I was expecting her to change her mind, but it's unlike her, she always did have a stubborn mind. Once she made a choice, she stood by it, regardless of the outcome and this time is no different. Eliza got in contact with half the landlords within close proximity to the Packhouse in hopes of aiding Amelia but she chose a three-bedroom apartment nearly an hour away. The landlord is a good friend of mine so he alerted me when she moved in. I'm on my way to yet another council meeting with a hangover that makes my ears ring. I'd rather avoid these meetings but the Royal council representative came all the way from Silverline and it's impolite to abscond, more so when you're the topic of conversation like I have recently become. "Devon, Ser— princess," I hastily correct myself. Every time I call out to my daughter I remember her mother, I see her final moments flashi

AMELIA I flew straight home from Moon Essence, something in me couldn't be bothered about about entertaining the interview in Red Haze Pack. I was tired, aching and missing my little monsters, I couldn't get on another flight that didn't take me back to where I was needed, with my children. My excitement to see the kids died out the second I told Valerie I got the job and we all have to shift very soon. Not only did she hate that, but she has been pretending not to understand me whenever I bring it up again. Last night, I booked four tickets to Moon Essence, right after I told my immediate family members that I was moving which also didn't end well at all, Nova is still being a little bitch about everything and Knox wants to act like he's my father. I'm his vulnerable daughter he must protect with bubble wrap. Honestly, it's tiring, I helped raise them, and they can't trust that I'll be okay on my own in a foreign land."Mom, have you seen my VR headphones?" Valerie calls out from
