“Thank you, Gomez. Thank you for telling me.”

I dropped the phone quietly on the table and let out a very deep sigh.

“What is it? Is everything okay in the Kingdom? Is the King okay?”

Lawrence was sitting across from me and we had been having a little meeting.

“Yes, he's fine. In fact, Gomez said he's woken up.”

There was a smile on his face that didn't match the look on mine and he noticed it.

“You don't seem happy at that. Why?”

There was no exact reason. I mean, I was happy that he was awake. I don't think I can deal with him being in a coma like Gomez was. I guess I wasn't just happy about the fact that I didn't know if we were now on talking terms or not.

Gomez didn't exactly say that he had asked about me but I'm very sure that he would have asked about Chase.

“It’s nothing, don't worry about it. You can go back to work. You should call him, you know. Let him know that I know, in case Gomez didn't tell him.”

I knew he wanted to say something else but he didn't.
