Ronan's POV

I crossed the room in three strides, and she met me halfway, throwing herself into my arms with such force we nearly fell. I caught her, held her tight, felt her shaking against me like she might fall apart completely.

“I’ve got you,” I murmured into her hair. “I’m here. You’re safe.”

“You actually came,” she gasped, a mix of laughter and tears in her voice. I thought—I didn’t know if you’d get my messages, if Margaret would help, if…”

“Shh.” I pulled back just enough to see her face, using my thumbs to wipe away tears. “We got everything. The photos, the evidence. And we’re getting you out. Tonight.”

“How?” She looked toward the door, fear flickering across her face. “The guards, the cameras…”

“I’ve taken care of it. The cameras are on a loop, and the guards are busy. We only have about twelve minutes before anyone realizes you’re missing.”

“Twelve minutes,” she repeated, and something fierce lit in her eyes. “Okay. Let me just grab…”
