Chapter - 4

Aery's POV

"Well well..... It's not a confession right my friend?"

I moved back, avoiding eye contact with others.

What happened just now feels like a dream. An alpha challenging others to meet on grounds if they mess with Sarah and a true blood....confessing he was the one who left the hickey on my neck.

What actually happened that night? what's going on?

how can our life change into this in a split second

"Aery"

I flinched hearing his voice

"I'm sorry but....I wasn't able to hold myself last nig..."

I panicked and covered his mouth "What are you doing? Our entire class is staring at us"

He pulled my hand off his mouth "So what?" He looked around as others immediately started to mind their business "I don't think there's anyone who can challenge true blood"

"Cut this crap" Sarah pulled her hands from Luis as she grabbed mine and stepped in front of me "You may be a ture blood but she isn't what you think she is"

George placed his hands in his pocket and sighed looking at Sarah "What do I think she is?"

"Someone like me" Sarah looked at Luis "Aery isn't like me. she is waiting for a mate"

I could see George's expression change and also Luis "Mate?" He looked at me "Really? your waiting for some stranger to come and claim you?"

"I.."

"Yes she is" Sarah tightened the grip around my hand "I don't want a fated mate but she does"

"You don't want a fated mate?" Luis stepped closer to Sarah who gave a nod

what's going on? the tension between them is very......Wait! don't tell me Luis is....

"Are you gonna reject me?" Luis frown as he stepped more closer but Sarah's grim was firm on mine. she is scared but she's protecting me as usual.

it isn't easy for a beta to stand in front of an alpha and true blood, raising head and having eye to eyes convo.

Sarah is indeed great

"I'm not sure" she smirked

Luis grabbed Sarah's cheeks

"Wait Luis please...." I was about to hold his hands but George grabbed my hand and dragged me with him "Wait...Luis please don't hurt her...she's...."

George paused when the school bell rang.

I immediately pulled myself from his grip and ran towards Sarah "Please let go. Teacher may come anytime now"

I said but Luis grip on her cheeks were firm

"Luis please. We can talk after class" I was trembling. His annoyed pheromones were making me weak. thought I'm not 18 yet. I still could feel strong pheromones around me.

"Luis...." I coughed holding Sarah's hand "Please Luis.."

"Let go. let's talk after class....." Sarah said as she grabbed Luis hands that were cupping her cheeks "Let go alpha"

Luis eyes immediately softened. He let go of Sarah and looked at me "Put some sense in your friends head. Tell her how strong a mate bond is"

I nodded pulling Sarah with me.

"That asshole! how dare he...."

"He can hear you. Alpha's instinct"

"Fuck that alpha instinct" Sarah glared at Luis as she finally walked with me to our seats.

Class went on, we had continuous 4 periods and at 5 min break we just sat quietly.

Sarah was getting worked up from time to time since Luis was flirting with her the whole class.

The bell rang saying it was our lunch break

"Uh.....Sarah can you please stop glaring at Luis. if he's your fated mate what's your problem accepting him. he's an alpha. he would treat you well"

"Treat me well my foot!" Sarah growled lowly "He's an alpha. The rank that I hate the most. ALPHA"

"Why? aren't alpha good? they are protective over their mates and..."

"Mates are only a satisfying object to them. They use us to satisfy their thirst and can even hurts us when their pride has been hurt and not to mention they treat us as their breeding source to spread their blood around. They don't actually love...."

"Who put those rubbish in your mind? uh?" Luis said walking towards our way "So. Does our Aery think the same?"

I shook my head

"Learn something from your friend" Luis ruffled Sarah's hair who glared at me

"I didn't mean that way Sarah....I just...."

"Let's go Aery" She grabbed my hand and we were about to leave but there he stood, blocking our way with his broad chest "I have some unfinished business with Aery" George said with his firm voice

"Move George. I don't want to creat a scene" Sarah said holding my hands tightly

"Same. Neither do I" Luis lift Sarah up, holding her and taking her someone.

I could hear her scream and refuse but soon she disappeared from class.

"What...." I was helpless. Yes I am. I'm not strong to fight these alphas and also.....Luis is her mate isn't he? it should be fine if they share a bond.

"Aery" I looked at George worried "Don't worry. Your friend is safe with Luis. he's a good dude"

"But still...."

"Are you really waiting for your mate?"

It's not like I'm waiting for my mate. To put it in a good way....I'm waiting for the one who I can share my fate for life time.

"Well...."

"You know these days nobody actually believe in this mate bond and shit. If you find a mate who you love then people will accept orelse they reject isn't it?" George said sitting on the desk beside me

I gave a small nod

"Then....What do you think about me?"

I looked at him, Is he even aware of what he's saying?

"I know you don't remember anything that happened last night but.....Trust me....I really like you"

I smiled. All I could do was give a warm smile

"I'm sorry but George...." I called him by his name for the first time "I don't want you as my mate"

He stood, looking at me confused or should I say he's facial expression was more like a shock

Shocked like.....A mere girl who lives down the street refusing the true blood's offer?

"I think you don't know me well" I grabbed his wrist and pulled him with me.

I paused at the empty hallway of our school "George" I let go of his hand and turned towards him "I'm an omega. The lowest rank. The one that's needy. Is capable to sleep with anyone when I'm in heat. That's me George. An omega"

He has zero expression change and just looked at me blankly

"I know" He crossed his hands "I know that your omega. You told me that last night"
