“Cora?” I stammered as I asked in utter disbelief.

Daniel nodded at me. I titled my head at him, my eyebrows raised.

“Why is Cora being present a problem?” I inquired.

Daniel let out a sigh and shook his head. “This being has been in your midst, and yet none of you noticed who she really is,” He sighed.

The more he spoke, the more confused I got. Being? He was referring to Cora as a being? I swallowed, knowing fully well that there was more to this than the eye met.
