Celine's POV

“Good morning, please can I get a place to sleep?”

I came across a beautiful lady in the neighbouring city, and I had this conviction within me that she might offer me some help.

Her eyebrows furrowed as she glared at me, her eyes slowly darting from my head down to my toe.

“Why are you so sure that I will want to help a stranger?”

“I just need a place to spend the night. I'm a traveller, and I was told that the nights around here are terrifying.”

“You're right. Perhaps you can spend the night in my house.”

“Thank you very much.”

She ushers me into her house, helping me out with the luggage I had with me.

“Welcome to my humble home,” she gestures towards a chair, making sure I'm comfortable.

“I'm very grateful. I appreciate your hospitality.”

“I'll get you a glass of water right away.”

Her hospitality is quite shocking because I've heard so much about those lands, and this was the least I was expecting from a land like this.

She returns with a cup of water, and

Arianna's POVTheresa calling me all of a sudden to have a discussion with me is something I didn't see coming. I'm pretty nervous to hear what she has to say. I take a seat right next to her, waiting for her to come out of her meditation state. It's also weird that she called me while she was in this state. This woman is really giving me the creeps, and I must commend her aura as well. It's way above the chart. Just look at the way she noticed me walking inside, and— I need to focus. Focus, Arianna. You're definitely here to talk about something very important. You shouldn't be messing around right now. Finally, she opens her eyes, turning her gaze towards me. “How do you like my house?” She smiles, making me feel a warm sense of welcome around her. “Thank you very much for your hospitality.” “Don't mention. You deserve even more than I can give.” “Why did you call me?” She smiles. “You're just like your mother. You always want to jump straight to the point without wasti

Arianna's POVI'm finding it hard to believe that Ralph is speaking from his right senses. How does he want me to believe that somebody I literally grew up with throughout my whole life would want to hurt me all of a sudden? “Ralph, I'm you must be stressed. That should explain why you're talking like this.”He shakes his head gently and then exhales heavily. “I'm sure it will be hard for you to believe. It's a shame that I can't prove it to you.” He's still going about the same subject. “I'd love for us to drop this topic. Let's talk about something else.” He clears his throat. “What do you want us to talk about?” Well, I've been meaning to talk about our stay here. From the look of things, it seems like we're going to be out here for a pretty long time. I love it out here anyway, but sometimes I wonder if my grandmother is doing alright over there. “How long are we going to stay in this realm?” I know that question is coming too soon. But I'm already feeling uncomfortable

Arianna's POVWhat's going on inside there? My heart races with tremendous fear, and the night slowly draws to an end, but yet there's no sign that this fight is going to end. The whole house literally crumbles under the weight of the magic inside there. It just looks like the whole thing is going to fall apart. But Xavier? He looks rather calm and reserved. From his demeanour, he looks rather convinced that this whole thing will end in our favour. But I don't feel that way. My insides feel turned over completely, and he races with throbbing fear. My palms already feel cold, and the pressure of blood pumping through my veins is causing me to sweat profusely. Suddenly, in the midst of the whole tension and the troubled heart, Ralph and Theressa both walk out from the burning building. I instinctively rush to Ralkh, hugging him tightly. But I snap out of the moment immediately and pull away from him. “Somebody actually missed me.” “That's totally wrong. I was only worried tha

Celine's POVHale knocks on the door, hoping to get a response. “Are you sure he's inside?” “Of course I am. Just relax and let me do the thinking.” “Fine. You can have it your way.” Standing outside here, I must confess, it seems like the man isn't home at all. But just when I had finally given up hope, the lock clicks and the door opens. His expression quickly turns into fright immediately he sets his eyes on her. “How are you doing, my old friend?” Hale smirks as she casually moves hom out of the way, walking into the house like she owned it. I follow up behind her because I don't want to seem too left out. “I…I wasn't expecting you, Hale.” he stutters, trying as much as he can to keep his cool. “Yes. I never knew I needed you until last night.” His brows furrow as he glares at her, puzzled and trying to understand the whole scenario. “What do you want from me?” Hale smirks. “Relax, hun. Have you forgotten the sweet moments we shared together.” “Don't start with this,

Celine's POVThis journey is beginning to feel like I've been running around circles. The last useful information I got was from the receptionist. “Why are you looking for her, ma'am?” “Coukd you quit Asking me stupid questions and just tell me what you know about her?” He swallowed hard, seeing how furious I looked. “She didn't mention where she was going. The only thing I can remember eas that she's pregnant.” I gasped shockingly as my jaw dropped wide open. I wasn't expecting this twist. Arianna…pregnant? How did that even happen? This was what filled my thoughts for two days now. “Aren't you going to get over the fact that she's pregnant?” Hale tries to engage in a conversation with me. But I ignore her. I just cross my legs and keep my eyes focused into the sky, glaring at the beautiful night stars. How am I expected to just react casually to such a news? I didn't see this coming. It was never on my expectation list. That stupid Damon would always want to screw eve

Arianna's POV I gasp shockingly, my jaws dropping open as I glare at Xavier. Now, there are two thoughts I'm my head; where's Theresa, and how did Xavier manage to get here? “How the hell did you get down here without being spotted?” He smiles while he uses the keys in his hand to unlock the cells. “Don't worry. You don't want to know. We need to get out of here fast.” “Hol up. What about Theresa?” “She's keeping the Chief company. They're having a really serious fight.” Wait a minute. How's even able to handle— I guess I may have underestimated the wrong person. “Aren't we supposed to help her out?” He smirks. “We need to find a way out of here, first. That's what she told me to do.” Left with no choice but to follow Xavier, we just followed behind him through a path he created. Bodies just laid on the ground, courtesy of Xavier. I can't seem to understand what this man is made up of. The way he moves and his actions sometimes makes me wonder if he's human at all.“So w
