CHAPTER 29: FIGHT TO LIVE

SANDRA approached the doctor after the auction to thank him

"Thank you for the hundred million," she stated happily.

"No, it's fine," the doctor replied with a warm smile.

"I appreciate your generosity, and it's for a good cause."

The doctor exudes a friendly demeanor that makes her comfortable to chat with him.

"How about a cup of coffee or something I can get for you? You seem friendly. I'd also like to speak with you before the evening is over. Of course, if you're comfortable with it."

Sandra paused for a moment, sensing her husband's dark stares from afar; however, this generous man is not dangerous; it's just that she will bear the consequences of her husband's flawed thinking at home.

"Sure," she said.

They stopped by a nearby cafe and ordered coffee and bread.

"I'm sorry if you don't feel at ease with me; I mean no harm, but I get the feeling your husband is overly possessive of you."
