The room was dimly lit, the flickering glow of candles casting long shadows across the walls. In the center was the salt circle, carefully drawn, its boundaries holding an air of finality. Jade stood over a wooden flask, its surface engraved with intricate, ancient patterns that seemed to pulse with their own life.

She gestured for us to stand on opposite sides of the circle. A deep gash was opened in the center of each of our palms, and the crimson stream of our blood dripped into the flask. The mingling of our life essence felt symbolic—two lives connected, now about to be severed.

Once the flask was filled, Jade uncorked a smaller vial and poured its contents into the blood mixture. The liquid turned a dark, viscous red, its surface swirling as though alive. “It’s parrot’s blood,” she explained, her voice low and full of respect, as though she spoke to the room itself.

She began to chant, her words foreign and ancient, their meaning lost to time but their power unmistakable. The a

  • Demon's Obsession - I'm Bound to Him   Blessing or Curse?

The icy splash of water jolted me awake, sending a shiver coursing through my spine. I let out a long, deep breath and leaned back, letting the cold clarity settle over me before I finally opened my eyes. My reflection in the mirror was a stranger—tired eyes, hollowed cheeks, and an expression that I barely recognized as my own. I swiped a towel across my face and turned to Jade, who held me with her usual calm, and now with a smile. “Coffee, right?” she asked, her voice gentle but knowing. I nodded, trying to muster any hint of normalcy. “Yes, Ma’am.” “Good. Join your friends. I’ll be there in a minute,” she said, the warmth in her smile oddly comforting. I made my way to the table where Dominic and the others were gathered. The weight of their pity pressed down on me like an anchor. I could feel their stares—unspoken words that stung worse than any blow. But Dominic... Dominic didn’t even glance my way. Not once. His silence felt heavier than their sympathy, and I couldn’t d

  • Demon's Obsession - I'm Bound to Him   New Reality

My words dissolved into sobs, my chest heaving as I clung to her hands like they were my last tether to sanity. My grief spilled over, raw and merciless, my sobs morphing into broken hiccups as Jade pulled me into her arms. She held me tightly, her presence a quiet balm to the storm raging inside me, even as I wished for the impossible: to erase love itself.“I can’t do that, I’m afraid,” she said firmly, her lips pressing into a thin line as she spoke, her tone cutting through the air with a conviction that was impossible to ignore. She gave a slight, almost subtle shake of her head, her eyes narrowing. “What you mistake for weakness, what you think will break you, will instead become the very strength you need, even if you can't see it yet."Her gaze softened, and she reached up to gently lift my chin, forcing me to meet her eyes. There was a vulnerability there, an unspoken sorrow that flickered in the depths of her gaze. It was almost as though she were seeing something within me

I lifted my gaze, letting it rest directly on Dominic. “Can I have a word?” I asked, my tone firm.Dominic’s eyes widened slightly in surprise, but he quickly nodded, rising to his feet. “Excuse me,” he said to the others before following me into an adjacent room. As we entered, I buried my trembling hands deep into my pockets, using the action to steel myself for what I was about to do. Slowly, I turned to face him, my resolve wavering as I looked into his eyes, so full of unspoken emotion. “I want Jade to remove the bond between us,” I blurted, the words spilling out in one breath. He stiffened slightly, his expression shifting from confusion to heartbreak. “What? Why?” he asked softly, his voice barely above a whisper.“I’ve come to terms with my life,” I said, forcing myself to hold his gaze. “Holding anyone close never ends well for me, Dominic. I can’t go through the same pain again and again, having this bond will cause me twice as much pain.”My words came out firm, but insid

When I awoke, the world came rushing back in pieces. A sharp splash of cold water hit my face, jolting me awake. Disoriented, I blinked, the edges of my vision swimming as I struggled to make sense of my surroundings. A voice called to me, muffled at first, then sharper as reality clawed its way back. “Mom? Mom?” I gasped, my voice breaking as I looked around. My house, once so familiar and safe, was now a chaotic mess of strangers. Faces blurred around me—neighbors, paramedics, curious onlookers—all swarming like bees around a broken hive. Then came the sirens. The police arrived shortly after, their presence making everything feel even more bizarre. They asked questions—so many questions—but I couldn’t process them. Their words floated past me like distant echoes. I couldn’t even recall if I answered or simply sat there, numb and unresponsive. A woman, someone who seemed kinder than the rest, knelt before me. Her hands gripped my shoulders firmly, shaking me gently in an att

“For now, the mission is what matters,” I said firmly, a new steel in my voice. “All I know is that I can’t lose anyone else. I won’t let guilt take root in me again. It’s too heavy, and I can’t afford to carry it anymore.” My fists clenched at my sides, a surge of determination flooding through me. “It’s time the Darklord realized he picked the wrong year to awaken. This time, things are different.”With that, I bolted to my feet, confidence radiating through me as I strode toward the café’s main door. Jade didn’t try to stop me; she simply watched, her expression unreadable. I pushed open the door, the fresh air hitting my face as I stepped outside. My friends turned to me immediately, their conversations pausing as I approached. Chen’s sharp eyes narrowed slightly, his voice filled with curiosity. “What did you decide?”I stopped in front of them, my shoulders squared, and let the weight of my resolve speak before I even opened my mouth. “Let’s kick the Darklord somewhere he’ll *
