Dinner in the banquet

I hugged myself and took a few short deep breaths, as Aiden left to the bathroom. My nipples were still tingling with desire. I was fuming, and turned on all at the same time.

Only someone like Aiden could make me angry, and horny as well. I got dressed, and was contemplating what to busy myself with. He came out of the bathroom, shirtless and was wearing a clean pair of pyjamas.

"You are going to drive all the males crazy down there. I can smell your arousal everywhere!" He frowned at me.

"Alright you win, can we get out this room now? Please." I already knew where this would end if we stayed alone for too long.

I felt a little nervous walking out of Aiden's rooms for the first time. We were greeted by three men outside the door, I didn't recognize anyone. They all bowed their heads and two held the post, the third trailed behind us on the stairs.

I wondered if they would keep following us around.

I recognized the large lobby with it's ornate marble floors we had come into that day, and again I heard voices, but no one was there. Walking through a set of open double doors, the chattering stopped abruptly. I had been told the pack numbered in thousands and I had seen the crowd when I had arrived, but I did not expect the dining area to be this crowded.

The room looked like the large banquet hall. Oval moon pack had similar halls.

Sitting around the round tables were countless numbers of people. Men, women, and small children all stopped what they were doing, and turned to stare at me. I held onto my best smile, and looked around, trying to think of anything to calm me down.

I saw Alexa in the crowd waving excitedly at me, so I waved back at me.

"Is it always this crowded?" I mumbled to Aiden.

"No, it's usually boring. I guess they're all here to see you. Generally, most people dine in their homes."

I looked around almost in a panic.

"Wolves of jade moon pack, I present to you my mate, and your new Luna. Her name is Blair Blake, of the oval moon pack." Aiden announced proudly. A cheer rosed from those assembled, and I heard a significant amount of howling. I could also see a few heads shaking in surprise.

"As you know there have already been attempts to kidnap her," He continued.

"She's been living with the humans, hence she's unaware of our rules."

I wanted to signal to him, but I kept my smile pasted on my face though, wishing I could just sink on the floor.

"She'll not be available to mingle freely with you until those guilty has been apprehended." He continued, despite obvious grumbling in the crowd.

"Please continue to be at your best behavior, and don't forget to report strange activities to beta Damon, or the other officials." He motioned to the supposed Damon, and the man stood up with three other men.

I had seen Damon with him when they came to rescue me, and I immediately knew he was Aiden's beta.

"Tonight, we celebrate and enjoy good food, in the company of our family!" He finished, raising a glass of wine.

The crowd cheered, and kept howling until a petit woman raised her hand in the crowd.

"Sorry to interrupt Alpha, but why isn't she marked by you?"

I could feel Aiden's anger boil next to me. His face hardened as his face turned towards the petit woman. She was beautiful, and looked a bit older than me. I noticed her jealous countenance.

"That's none of your business ma'am. It's something that mate's decide" Aiden replied coldly.

The woman bowed slightly and moved back. My wolf was itching to come out and strangle the woman. A low growl escaped from my chest, surprising me. Aiden's arm was already around me, and he gently held me back. "Take it easy pumpkin, easy." He whispered, a smile playing on his lips.

This was just too embarrassing.
