I went to school with a heavy heart the next morning. I attended my lessons but kept my head down, not saying a word, didn’t even react when I got my tests back, English was an A minus, maths a B, chemistry a B plus and biology a B plus. it was massive improvement from the Fs I used to get but it wasn’t that exciting to me. My teachers seemed to realise that when I just took the paper and turned it upside down.
I went back to my old seat upstairs during break, keeping to myself. I was listening to my music again, hoping to improve my mood. I stood up and stared over the banisters, looking at the people walking below.

On Friday afternoon we were given our final times about what time we should all meet at school the next day. We were still unsure of where we were going. I woke about an hour or so later with the sound of thunder and heavy rain. I cleared off my misted windows and peered into the darkness. Mrs Ward surprised me when she grabbed me for the first dance. She was slightly drunk and off balance but I think I handled it like a pro, making sure she never tripped and if she did, I would catch her mid fall and correct her balance.I still saw no sign of Miss Sheldon but a couple of boys were disappearing one by one into the far cabin and coming out minutes later.
