The lobby lights were dim, warm, and familiar. I didn't even have to check the room number. Calvin always picked the same one… third floor, far end, corner and suite. I chose it on our first meeting and that was because of its privacy and quietness. I just like that no one would know or be in my business. Calvin seemed to like it too and ever since then, it became our usual spot.

I got to the door and used my access card to open it. The moment I stepped in, I heard the shower running and tossed my purse on the dresser, slipping off my heels. I didn’t bother calling out. He always left the bathroom door open for me. That was our thing, we didn’t do awkward greetings or small talk. Not when we already knew how the night would start.

By the time I reached the bathroom doorway, he was stepping out, towel slung low on his hips, water dripping down his abs. His smirk was lazy, like he knew exactly what I came for.

He wasn’t wrong though, I desperately needed some attention down ther

  • Forever Contracted to the Billionaire’s Heart   The damn kiss…

MarkI barely had time to register what was happening when Viola let out a scream that damn near pierced my skull.“Jesus, will you just stop shouting!” I barked, the sound sharp and raw from my throat as I instinctively pushed her aside. I didn’t realize how fast and hard the push was until I saw her body wobbled. I saw it before she hit the ground. Her knees buckled backward like she was about to crash, and in that split second, everything inside me went still. The baby!!! My parents were going to have my head if anything happened to their precious heir. I didn’t think further, I lunged forward, catching her just before her back could meet the floor. My arms wrapped around her waist, the slick heat of her skin instantly pressed against mine.We were both naked and breathless, and for just a second, time stopped. I don’t even know what it was… I couldn’t tell if it was the heat or the fact that out naked body was on each other. Or maybe the weight of two people who’ve been toeing t

  • Forever Contracted to the Billionaire’s Heart   Both naked again…

Viola I didn’t even know when I slept off last night. Mark had really pissed me off but somehow, I had a really good sleep and didn’t even know how the night went by so quickly.I blinked my eyes open slowly, the faint morning light leaking through the heavy curtains. The dream I had replayed in my head and I couldn’t get enough of it. I was enjoying my old life where everything was perfect and sweet.Looking around the room now, I couldn’t understand what was happening because for a second, I forgot where I was. The sheets smelled unfamiliar, and there was a strong masculine energy in the air. The bed was far too firm, too cold and that was when it hit me. I was in Mark’s room in his bed… our room apparently.I sighed and rolled over to the other side as the reality hit me deeper. It was empty and cold and I stared at the smooth, undisturbed sheets. Of course there was no trace of him around, he must have gone to work early. He probably couldn’t wait to get away from me after the

  • Forever Contracted to the Billionaire’s Heart   The fake dinner

ViolaI was really hoping Mark wouldn’t make it to dinner. I just wanted to eat in peace without seeing his wicked face. We have been trying to stay out of each other’s lanes despite sharing a room. It was working all well but Frank just had to come up with this dinner tonight and how we all have to be a happy family.Mark was running late and I was so happy until he suddenly showed up. I rolled my eyes and Brenda almost caught me. I quickly forced out a smile and then got Mark a plate just to throw her off.We started eating and I spent most of the time wearing a smile that hurt my cheeks and nodding at things I barely heard. Mark sat beside me, close enough that our arms brushed every now and then, but not once did he look at me like a man should look at his fiancé or even like a man who cared.Still, we played our parts and even when Brenda asked how we were adjusting, he reached for my hand under the table and I let him. He squeezed it like a silent warning and then looked at me

  • Forever Contracted to the Billionaire’s Heart   He’s all mine now…

SophieIt was almost five in the evening, and I was still at my desk pretending to be focused on reports I had no interest in. My eyes kept drifting to the glass office just ahead of Mark’s office. He was there, coat already off, sleeves rolled up, leaning over his desk as he signed some documents.I saw his face and saw he looked tired. I know just the perfect way to fix it since I used to be his escape from all this… the work, the family, the pressure. He’d call me at odd hours and I’d be there, just like that. A drink, a laugh, a long night. No one knew him like I did and not only did I see all the sides the world didn’t get to see. He actually trusted me. I was the only woman who truly got him… until she showed up.My stomach churned at the thought of her name in the most annoying quiet way. I couldn’t understand how she thinks she can just come and steal what I had groomed for years. I waited until it was five and others had left for the day, then I slipped in.“Long day?” I ask

SophieMark walked in looking sharp and confident as ever, and as usual, my heart stupidly skipped a beat the second I heard his footsteps approaching.I adjusted my blouse quickly, smoothed down my skirt, and grabbed my tablet before heading toward his office. He hated delays and I’ve never given him one. I live to be ready for him.He had just dropped his keys on the table and was unbuttoning his blazer when I knocked once and stepped inside.“Good morning, Sir:” I let out while he looked at me and smiled. He knew I was goofing around, I always address him by his name but when I want to get some of that sweet smile, I become formal. It always works so I always use it.“Morning Sophie, you look good.” He replied and I smiled too.“Thank you, Mark.” “You’ve got two back-to-back meetings this morning,” I began, standing straight. “First is with the legal team about the Wexler contracts, and then at ten, your father requested a call with the board. Apparently, he wants to go over last
