Chapter Forty Two

Kozlova sat in front of me on a gigantic chair. I cringed. I have never seen someone as unattractive and intimidating like this man. A lot of things are just not right, or correctly portrayed on the internet, and it is too bad that I have to learn my lesson the hard way. If I thought I have seen dangerous looking men before, but nothing beats the beast that sits in front of me.

“You can leave us, girl,” he told my captor. I watched her walk out of the room, now wishing and hoping that she would stay. Somehow, I feel safe with her.

He turned and looked at me as though he would eat me alive.

“Logan’s wife, huh.” He said.

I looked away because I could not look at him.

“You know, when you called and demanded for a meet up, I thought it was all a sick prank, until I had you Googled and voila, it is true,” he said and grinned. “Imagine my delight when you found your way right into my arms.” He pulled out a small knife, the blade glistering in the light. I exhaled in fear.
