Chapter Fourty-five

"What about the man who gave Anica the poison? Did he get caught?" I started asking questions again.

Eugene shook his head in front of me, looking disappointed.

"The Police arrived late," as expected.

"Where is Nurse Clea?"

When I think of Nurse Clea, I glance at the door. She was with me earlier, and before I fell asleep, Anica mentioned that Clea was the one who let her in. My eyes widened as I realized something. Anica stated that Nurse Clea and the guard were guarding the door; if they were guarding the door, how did that intruder get in so easily? What if nurse Clea is on the enemy's side?

"She's in the hospital as well," Eugene said, causing my heart to sink.

"What do you mean?" my hands trembled with nervousness and fear once more.

"It's not that serious; I heard she's awake now; the suspect put her to sleep, and the guard outside was lured by their tactics; those enemies aren't just ordinary criminals; they're experts," he explained.
