Nerezza's Point of View

They had left four days ago. Just after they returned me to the palace. All of them knew the stakes. The gambles we were about to make. It was a cold truth. Four days of silence on both our ends. Contacting them was a risk I wasn't willing to make just yet. Even though my longing for them grew stronger by the day. A cruse upon my soul I wanted to be lifted.

Their presence, even if it was just within this city, had grown comforting to me. A revelation I wasn't yet ready to deal with. I had grown attached to Primaos and look where that had gotten me. Shredded heart and a missing son. A lash of pain echoed through my heart. Made me grip the back of the couch as I stared out the windows.

Reginald hadn't sent for me in the last three days either. Somehow, his anger didn't bother me much. His silence golden rather than leaden. I could also feel the love between the king and me dwindling slowly. Becoming less prominent by the second.
