Raphaela looked at the time. He still had about nineteen hours. She wondered what that meant. She had him with her all these while and she pushed him away but now she had come to her senses, she probably had just nineteen hours to spend with him, with an unconscious him.
Life was truly wicked.
Nineteen hours...

"So you're saying I just have to lose a few pints of my blood and I'll get myself a powerful clone?"
"Exactly, my lord."
A slow evil laughter followed.
"Well then, get me a vial of his blood, let's run a test."
Alpha Lucius leaned back in his couch, a smirk on his evilly good-looking face. His right thumb slowly stroked his jaw.
Just a few pints of his blood and he'll have the great Alpha of death under his control, doing his every will...
He chuckled. Life was indeed sweet.

"The door's not locked."
Antonio entered, foll
She continued before anyone could butt in."I found a rare herb with rare healing properties. I've searched for this herb for a long time but I just mysteriously found it in my apothecary. It has the ability to thoroughly purify any infected organ. If I inject it directly into his heart, in at most six hours, his heart will be thoroughly cleansed and will no longer pump infected blood. Then all we have to do is force out the infected blood slowly while his heart pumps fresh blood. I figure in three days, his body will be as fresh and fine as a babe!"Emily was out of breath after speaking and she held unto her knees in an attempt to catch her breath."We can get started now, right? Are you sure the herb is that strong?"Raphaela was on her feet, still holding tightly to Lorenzo's hand.Emily winked, "Have you heard of Chamonix?"Valentine's eyes widened, "The infamous magic herb?"Emily smirked, "Do you trust me now? Come on, I
Raphaela sprang up, her heart thudding in fear."What?"Her gaze narrowed at the flunctuating lines on the ECG before going to Emily who suddenly pressed the defibrillators on Lorenzo's chest. The whirring sound and the anxiety on Emily's face had Raphaela confused. Lorenzo was fine moments ago, how did he suddenly need reviving?"Again." Emily muttered, going at it again. Lorenzo's chest pumped up but the lines never stabilized."Again."His chest went up again and just as Raphaela was about to break down in tears, the lines suddenly went normal and the anxious beeping returned to the usual low tone.Emily collapsed unto a chair, sweat trickling down her face."Thank God, thank God..." She continuously muttered.Raphaela followed suit, sitting back down but saying nothing. She stared at Lorenzo's calm face with sorrow."Do you hate me that much?" She murmured, "Do you hate me that much that you decided to die whi
"Today was a slip up. You know how our wolves get angry and irritated from lack of rest and freedom. I intend to make you respect me the right way and not through violence." Said gently by Raphaela to the border patrol warriors who now either shrunk back in fear or gazed at her with suspicion or hatred. She glanced at the wolf she assaulted who had already healed up."I'll leave now, continue your jobs. I had the kitchen staff at the pack house prepare good meals for you, it will be here within the hour."With that, she turned and walked away, Raphaela-style.The right thing would have been to apologize before giving the explanation she had given but she couldn't bring herself to say the words. They didn't deserve it.Their fear of her and hatred towards her didn't bother her. She was used to it. Wherever she went, she either instilled awe or fear or hatred in people, it was the reaction she sought. She didn't want to be liked, she wanted to be lov
"Director Shaw, I can assure you she's not the type to run off without explanation. An emergency cropped up and she had to leave...""With no explanation!? She should have had the courtesy to at least give us a brief warning. She left! Just like that! And put the whole shooting on hold! I have to spend extra to find another capable female lead! Julien Hugo, I have nothing else to say. See you in court.""Director Shaw..."He had cut the call.Julien growled, flinging his phone away with excess force. He couldn't even give a valid explanation because he himself had no idea where she was and he couldn't even get to her!He punched the couch repeatedly before his tiredness gave in and his shoulders hunched, his head in his hands. He had searched for her all day and night. After she mysteriously left and he had to lie to Director Shaw that she had an emergency, the director had flared up and thrown a tantrum and then chased him out
Julien stared at the pieces of material in his hands.Shredded clothes... No blood, no signs of a fight...nothing.Except... He fingered the piece of animal hair he found. That meant nothing. An animal could have trampled on them while moving. He ran a hand through his hair, feeling helpless and anxious. It wasn't up to twenty four hours yet but he was running crazy. He had a feeling she was somewhere out there and was aware of the chaos she had caused. He smiled, brushing off his anxiety. He too could play along. He picked up his laptop from the side table.'Raphaela, a homosexual!?''Actress Raphaela runs off from movie set with no explanation!''Mysterious Raphaela, actually a bad mannered whore!''Famous actress Raphaela ditches movie shoot after being cast as female lead!''Director of Werewolves of Lombardy to sue famous actress Raphaela for breach of contract!''Mys
"Has every family signed the share documents?""Yes, ma'am.""Give rations first to the Omegas, give the littlest portions to the wealthy. The community is to cooperate to get the surroundings clean, the slaves won't do that for them. Hunting is limited to the forests on the west, those on the east have a good doze of humans flocking through it. That's all for now. I'll speak to the warriors personally."Antonio dropped his pen and beamed at Raphaela, "You'll make a good Luna." He complimented, feeling really pleased.Raphaela glanced at him from her spot at the head of the table before looking back down at the documents in her hands. She was the epitome of the serious business woman. Classy, moderate, black pant suit and her hair tied back in a tight bun."Seriously" Antonio laughed, seeing her reaction, "Lorenzo always tries these methods but they never listen and he doesn't react for love of them... But he'll never admit to it."Raphaela'
Antonio looked searchingly at her for quite a long time that she began to feel that he could see through her."Depends" He finally answered, unscrewing the cap of a bottled water. She watched him drink shortly from the bottle."Tell me why you hate him."Raphaela laughed, "Would I be here if I hate him?"He fixed her with a blank stare. She leaned back in her seat."I don't hate him. I just hated his... behaviour." She answered, "It scared me that he rejected Davina."It was Antonio's turn to fix her with a puzzled stare, "Who are you talking about?"She blinked, "Davina. His mate."Antonio stared at her before slowly shaking his head."Three years ago when he met Davina" He began to explain, "he decided to keep it a secret because he didn't feel any affection towards her and she didn't fit his criteria for the woman he always wanted to be his Luna but he never told her this, he tried to be a good mate. They weren't clos
Raphaela and Antonio watched as the pack warriors trickled into Lorenzo's room and walked out solemnly, guilty and sad looks on their faces.Raphaela had insisted not only the warriors pay their Alpha a visit but a good number of the pack members also. She wanted them to see what their hate caused, she wanted them to experience even a little of the pain she was feeling. Even the young pups weren't exempted. That way, they would grow up protective of their Alpha. As they walked out, they cast she and Antonio solemn appreciative glances, some couldn't even look at them. It was all their fault. They were alive but their Alpha was in-between life and death. After the last pack member walked out, she went in and checked on him. There was a good amount of black blood in the collecting container that had been changed five times already. Just one more day, she thought. One more day and she'd have him back.Antonio watched her through the open door, thinking back
