The smile on her face vanished immediately after he left her presence. "This is just the beginning." She whispered to herself and walked after him. When she got to the dining room, Mr. Allen had gotten there and he was glaring at the food and table that had been set. His cook was also standing there. "Why are you looking at the food like that?" Rose asked as she stood beside him.
Mr. Allen glanced at her and then back to the table. He repeated his actions a few times then, hissed and walked to sit at the head of the table. "Where are you going?" Rose asked. Even though he lives alone, the table was big enough to accommodate 16 people. A chair at each end and seven chairs at each side. "What kind of question is that? I am taking my seat. As you can see!" Mr. Allen answered angrily. "Where are you taking that seat? At the head of the table!? Sorry... That seat is meant for my husband." Rose said with a smile. "Wha... You... How is this seat meant for your husband? This is my house!! I will seat wherever I want!!" Mr. Allen shouted. His whole body was already shivering due to the level of anger he was feeling. "What is going on here??" Christopher asked as he walked into the dining room with Princess and Mrs. Rita. "I don't know what is wrong with him... I only told him that he shouldn't sit at the head of the table and he got angry. Have I said anything bad??" Rose explained with an innocent face. If anyone could hear what she was saying, they would feel like she was being wronged. Mr. Allen felt like strangling Rose at that moment. How dare her to tell him not to seat at the head of the table? This is my house and she has the nerves to tell me what to do? He thought within himself. "Dad, that shouldn't be a reason for you to raise your voice. You could have just asked politely and that would have solved the problem. Now, you have hurt my wife's feelings. What do we do about that?" Christopher said. "Let's not fight over what is not worth it. This is supposed to be a happy occasion. Our family is coming here for the first time. Let's not spoil the mood. Let him take that sit. It's not important. I was just stating a fact earlier. Let's all take a seat and enjoy." Rose said with a smile. "Father-in-law, you can have that seat. It's not important anyway..." She added while looking at Mr. Allen. They all sat down on either side of Mr. Allen. Christopher wanted to sit beside Rose but, she pushed him and signaled him to sit at the other side. She sat by Mr. Allen's right hand while Christopher reluctantly sat by his left. Princes sat with her mother while Mrs. Rita sat with Christopher. When they had all taken a seat, the maids served the food on their plates. After she had finished serving, Rose looked at Princess and said, "Princess, why don't you say a prayer before we all start eating?" Princess nodded her head and said. "Please, let's all pray. God, we are gathered here with my grandfather to celebrate the gift of a family. As we eat happily, please, continue to always keep us happy. Some people or things will try to harm us from time to time. As you have kept us safe before, do it again. Anyone who tries to harm my family should be crushed by a very big truck. No... Let that person be crippled. Thank you, Lord, for answering my prayers!!! In Jesus' name!!!" Princess concluded. "AMEN!!!!!" Rose, Christopher, and Mrs. Rita chorused loudly. Mr. Allen looked at Princess with a mixed feeling. What kind of prayer is this? What does she mean by, becoming a cripple? He looked at them all as they nodded to that prayer. Why would that all be so happy about a prayer point? "I will not be hit by trailer... Neither will I become crippled." He whispered. "Now, let's eat!!" Rose said. They all dug into the food except Mr. Allen. He was watching them as they eat happily. "This tastes so good.!!" Christopher complimented as he ate happily. "Hmmm, I am happy you like it," Rose answered. She looked at Mr. Allen who had not even tasted the food and said, "father-in-law, why are you not eating? Don't you like it? Are you still scared of being poisoned by me? Don't worry. I have told you that I will never harm my loved ones. My family is eating out of it so, I am not that heartless..." Mr. Allen looked at her and started to eat a bit with caution. He was scared. Rose's attitude scared him the most. Even tho she was smiling, he felt like her smile was a mockery. He continued to look at her as he ate. Rose never took her eyes off him. She was waiting for the right time so that she can say what she wants to say. She didn't just come here to irritate him. She came to issue a warning. She came to let him know that her family should not be joked with. Christopher saw how she was watching his father. He had never taken his eyes off Rose. He knew she had a reason for bringing them all to his father's house. What everyone was waiting for was for her to do what she came for. Although he could see that his father was almost scared of Rose, he was still hoping to get a chance to do something to his father. When they finished eating, Mr. Allen couldn't wait for them to leave. Even tho the soup was one of the best egusi he had ever tasted, he didn't say it out. What he wanted was for them to get out of his house. He wanted to call Stone again for the last time. He was not confident that, they didn't know he wanted to harm them. He told himself that if they knew they wouldn't come to his house. He told himself that if Christopher knew about his plan then, he would have carried out his threat. After convincing himself, he looked at them and said. "Now, we have had dinner. It's high time you all get out of my house and, don't ever come back. I don't want to see you all here again. You are not welcomed here.!" "This is just the second phase of our visit. We are about to start the last phase." Rose said. "Father-in-law, have you ever asked yourself what will happen to people who kill?" Rose asked out of the blue. Everyone was surprised by the sudden question. They all wondered what she was getting at. "Why would you ask me such a stupid question!? Look here young lady, you all have overstayed your welcome in my house! What I want the most now, is for you all to get out of my house.!" Mr. Allen answered and stood up. "Where are you going to? I haven't asked you to go... We still have something important to talk about..." Rose said with a chilling voice, wiping the smile off her face. Christopher used that opportunity to send the maids out of the dining room. The people who remained were them and some of his trusted guards that h brought with him. Mr. Allen was shocked by the coldness of Rose's voice. "What... Who?... I mean, I don't have anything to talk to you about..." He stammered. "If I were you, I would sit down. I know you will not want your maids to hear what I am about to say." Rose said coldly. Princess was very happy when she saw the change in her mother. She knew at that moment that, her mother had gotten to the point where one would rather die than hear her talk. Christopher noticed her smile and wondered what was making Princess so happy. "Oh, we have something to talk about and it's very important. Now, have your seat.!" Rose said. It was like her voice had the power of its own cause, Mr. Allen sat down as if he was being controlled. "Good!!! Now that the atmosphere is calm, I want you to listen attentively." Rose said with a smirk. "The first thing on our agenda this night is about this house... We are here to discuss ownership. If I remember correctly, My husband said this house belongs to me. I wonder why you keep calling it yours. I get that you have an attachment to this house but, let's be clear... Christopher, who owns this house!?" Rose asked. "You... You are the owner of this house." Christopher answered. "What are you talking about!? This house is mine.! I have told you that you are being deceived by whoever told you what you know!!" Mr. Allen shouted. "Calm down..." Rose said to Mr. Allen. "Do you want to hear a story?" She asked. "What nonsense story would I want to hear from a prostitute like you? You came into my son's life and turned him against me. You!... You are nothing but a gold digger and a prostitute.!! I don't want to ever come across you again!!" Mr. Allen cursed. Christopher wanted to say something but Rose was faster. "Only a good digger would recognize one. I don't know if you have ever heard the story of a very poor man who was lucky enough to be fancied by a rich young girl. They got married but, under conditions. They would belong to each other alone. The man agreed and they got married. She made him the king of her empire but, guess what?" Rose said looking at Mr. Allen directly in the eyes. Mr. Allen was speechless. He was wondering why that story sounded like what happened between himself and Christopher's mother. Could it be that Rose was talking about him? He didn't answer or say a thing after a long while so, Princess said. "What happened, mom? The story. What happened next?" "The man, did everything he could so that his wife would not get pregnant. He didn't want her to give birth. One day, the woman found out what he was doing to her and got pregnant. After getting pregnant, she willed all her properties to her child and the person that child will get married to." Rose answered. "The end!!" She added. Throughout the time she was talking, she never once took her eyes off Mr. Allen. "What... What does your story have to do with me?" Mr. Allen asked nervously. "I am here today to let you know that you have done enough. You have done all your possible best to make sure my husband doesn't exist but, here he is. All grown and great!!" Rose answered. "Yesterday, you were lucky nothing happened. You know what I am talking about and I don't need to spell it out." Rose added. Christopher and Mrs. Rita understood what she was talking about immediately after she started the story. They both thought Princess was clueless but, Rose knew better that's why she was talking in her presence. "I don't know what you are talking about... Get out of my house right now!!" Mr. Allen said. "You haven't heard all I want to say. I know that you see me as a useless thing who will not do anything but, you should know better. You were able to do what it takes to keep what you want. I... ROSE will do whatever it takes to keep my family safe. I won't allow you or anyone to bully or threaten the life of my loved ones." Rose said. "I came from poverty just like you and we are alike in many ways. We would do what it takes to get what we want. We would go to any lengths to keep what we feel it's ours but, I will never harm my child just to get what I want." Rose added. After an hour and a half of sitting inside the car, Rose got to Christopher's office building. She got down and walked into the building. A lot of people who saw her were surprised. They knew that their boss was already a married man and seeing his wife walking in with a bag that obviously looks like a lunch bag made them all jealous. "Good morning ma!""Good morning ma'am," different employees greeted as Rose walked in. Rose nodded her head in acknowledgment of their greeting and walked to the reception. "Hi," she greeted the receptionist who was just staring at Rose."Am so sorry ma, good morning." The receptionist greeted her as she came out of her daze."Good morning, I am here to see your boss," Rose said."Take the elevator to the twelfth floor. That's where his office is." The receptionist answered. "Thank you," Rose said and walked towards the direction that the receptionist pointed at. When she got to the elevator. She pressed the button and was waiting for the door to open
"Sis! Can you people ask Uzo to come back to Lagos!?" Ada asked out of the blue."Why? Did he do something inappropriate!?" Rose asked."No... He didn't do anything. It's just that... I, I... Don't worry. It's nothing. I was just wondering when he will return to meet you, people. He has been here for a while now." Ada said."Hmmm, I smell something fishy... What are you not telling me?" Rose asked. "Is there something I should know!?" She asked with a smile."Sis!!! What are you thinking!? There is nothing fishy... I was just asking a very innocent question. Can't I ask?" Ada said in an attempt to stop Rose from asking further questions."Okay, let me just assume that I believe you but I still think something is wrong. Anyways, I called you to ask you something." Rose said. She has decided to stop asking Ada questions concerning why she wants Uzo to return. Time will tell anyway. There is no rush."Okay... What's that?" Ada asked."Would you like to come and stay with me here in Lago
She remembered that she had planned to tell him about her love for him tonight. "Chris...""I will be right back!!" Christopher interrupted what Rose was about to say. He stood up and rushed into the bathroom to have a cold shower to calm himself.Rose was about to tell Christopher about her feelings when he interrupted her and rushed into the bathroom. She saw his manhood pushing hard against his shorts. She had also felt it earlier but seeing it was another story. Slowly, a smile started to spread on her face. She couldn't help it. She tried to take her eyes off the bathroom door even after he had locked it but, the image was still there. She stood up and adjusted her nightgown and that smile still hasn't left her face. "Rose!!! Stop it!!" She cautioned herself. "Ha... How can I forget such a sight?!" She added with a giggle. After some seconds, she placed her face in her palms and giggled. "Why am I behaving like this?" She asked herself. "Ooooooh... Rose!!! Stop It. Wait, how ca
Rose looked at Christopher's expression when he entered the car and saw that there was nothing on his face. His face held an empty look. "Yes, let's go home." She said with a nod of her head. They got home at 10 o'clock. Princess had already fallen asleep at the back seat. After parking the car, they all got out and Mrs. Rita carried Princess before Christopher or Rose could get to her. "It has been a long day, I will put her to bed. The both of you should also get some rest. I will put her to bed.""Okay," they both answered and kissed the sleeping Princess good night. They both went to their room and Rose went into the bathroom to get cleaned up while Christopher waited. When she came out, Christopher went into the bathroom to clean up as well. When he got out, Rose had already gotten into bed and was waiting for him. He got into bed after putting on a short and immediately pulled her into his arms. As her body touched him, he knew he was in for a night. Rose wasn't wearing the usua
"What... What are you telling me? Are you saying... Are you saying that I can harm my child to get what I want?" Mr. Allen said nervously."Yes!! That's exactly what I am saying. You would go through any length for money. Keep your greed away from my family!!" Rose threatened."Dad, should I even call you that?? Do you deserve that title? I don't think you do. You don't deserve to be called a father. You, are a monster.!" Christopher said with hatred. "You have never loved me and I stopped begging for your love a long time ago. I stopped hoping you could love me a long time ago. Now, I have people who I will do anything to protect. You should stay away. This! Is your last warning.! The next time you will try this, I will not be nice!" Christopher added. Mr. Allen felt like the ground should open up and swallow him at that moment. From what they were saying, they know what he has done. From Christopher's expression, he knows that they know what he tried to do. If they knew then, why
