Chapter Eighty Four

"So, while I am in the kitchen, you can teach your father some things. Maybe you should tell him how to be nice to you. List out some things to him." Rose added. After saying that, she looked at them all in the eyes and walked away in the direction she saw Christopher taking when he brought in the things she bought from the market.

After she had gone, Princess said. "Grandma, since mom has given her permission to take a tour of the house and asked you to follow me, can we go now?" She asked Mrs. Rita. "Don't worry grandpa.! I won't break anything. Have fun with daddy." She said to Mr. Allen who was glaring at her.

Mr. Allen was getting angry by the minute. Seeing Rose act like the boss of his house and ordering everyone around was something he wasn't happy with. He watched angrily as Princess walked away with Mrs. Rita. When they had gone, Christopher was left with him. He looked at Christopher intending to reprimand him but, the look in Christopher's eyes shut him up.

"So, my dear father... Where do we start from?" Christopher asked after a long silence and a very hard inner battle with himself. Looking at his father, he felt like just strangling him to death. He had to continuously remind himself that Rose had warned him not to make any rash decision.

"Please, just get your family out of my house. I don't know why you all are here but I know you don't want to be here. Just call your family together and get out of my house." Mr. Allen pleaded.

"Oh, dad!! Why are you in a hurry to see us leave? My wife and I came here with good intentions. We are not here to harm you... Just calm down and enjoy our company besides, you will enjoy the meal my wife is cooking. She is one hell of a cook! Her food tastes divine.!" Christopher said with a smile and sat down. Besides his father.

"Look son, I know that you don't want to be here. I know you would rather be in a hospital than stay here. You have never liked my house. What is the real purpose of your visit!?" Mr. Allen asked. What he wanted was to just get them out of his house. He was telling himself that, maybe they didn't know what he had planned and just came to pay a visit but when he looked at Rose earlier and saw her glaring at him, he felt scared of her for a moment.

"I like how you think dad, you just want to keep deceiving yourself. Is it that you want to make yourself believe that this house belongs to you or, you already believe it. This house is now my wife's. I have already worked on transferring them to her name.!" Christopher said and relaxed into the chair. "Before I forget, my wife asked me to teach you some things. Do you want us to start now!?" Christopher added.

"What... What did you just say!? Did you put my house under your wife's name? How dare you do such a thing!?" Mr. Allen asked angrily. His hands had started to shake due to the emotions he was suppressing inside himself.

"What did I do?" Christopher asked innocently. "Did I do anything wrong?" He asked again.

"You!... Listen, I don't know where you found or got the idea that your mother left everything for you. Whoever told you that is just deceiving you. All of these belong to me and nobody else. I have spent the last twenty-something years of my life growing the company and turning it into what it is today. Everything is mine and no one can take it away from me!!" Mr. Allen declared.

"Why am I sensing a fight from you? You seem to forget that, I am your son. Most parents work so that they can give what they have made to their children. You have done your part. Now, it's time to do mine. You spent over twenty years of your life trying to grow but guess what!? I have done better than you ever did in just seven years!" Christopher said with a smile. He was beginning to enjoy seeing his father angry. He wanted to do something to him but, since Rose had asked him not to take any steps that he will regret, he had decided to follow her method and just irritate him.

"Look, let's not pretend to like each other. I know you hate me and want to get back at me for making your daughter cry but I want you to remember that I am your father. I deserve some respect from you. Now, I want you to call that evil wife of yours out of my kitchen and then take your family away from here. I don't like your presence here. How can you bully your father!? Do you know it's a sin!?" Mr. Allen said.

"Do you know it's also a sin to hate your child? Do you know it's a sin to bring a child into the world and not love them!?" Christopher asked his father while looking directly into his eyes. "Listen, dad, do you know why I still call you DAD?" Christopher asked and Mr. Allen just kept looking at him. When Christopher saw that he wasn't going to answer, he continued. "I call you that just to see your reaction.! You don't deserve to be called a father because you haven't learned how to be a father. Now, my wife wants me to teach you and there is no way I will not do what she wants!! The first thing you need to have as a father is a heart and I don't think you have that!" He added.

"I don't care about what your evil wife wants or says. The only thing I want right now is that you get out of my house!" Mr. Allen said angrily. "What do you know about being a father? I took care of you till this moment and you have to come here with your wife and insult me. This is the highest regret that a father can ever have." He added.

"You are such a drama king. If anyone should come in here and here you say such a thing, they will think I am being wicked to you." Christopher said with a chuckle. "You are very good. I have to give you that!" He added. "Well, back to our lecture... The second thing you should learn is how to love.! Wait... What am I saying? You don't have a heart and I want you to love me!... Is that even possible?" Christopher asked.

Mr. Allen felt like dying at that moment. What could be worse than what he was experiencing? Who would have thought that Stone will fail him? Had it been he had succeeded, he would have been very happy right now. Instead of happiness, he is being tormented. He looked at Christopher who was also looking at him and asked. "Are you here because you want to get revenge? Are you here because of what I planned to do to you and your family? If that is the reason why you are here then, it's better you just kill me."

Christopher was tempted to say that was in his mind. He was tempted to tell his father that he wanted to chop him into pieces for what he did to his mother and for what he planned to do to his family. He looked at his father with different thoughts running through his mind, when he spoke, he only asked questions. "What are you talking about? Did you try to harm me? Did you try to harm my family also? Did you?"

Mr. Allen was shocked when he heard those questions. He thought Christoper knew about what he wanted to do and that's why he and his family had come to visit. If Christopher wasn't here because of what he tried to do then, he could relax his mind. He smiled secretly and said. "Why would I try to harm your family? I know that I don't your wife but, you have warned me not to try doing anything to them. You looked your father in the eyes and threatened him. Do you think I would want to harm you?"

"It's a surprise that you remember what I told you. Since you remember, I just want to remind you that, no one who tries to harm my family will go unpunished." Christopher said out to his father but in his heart, he added. "You will pay for what you tried to do!"

"Food is ready!!!" Rose shouted loud enough for everyone to hear as she stepped into the sitting room. "Honey, food is ready. Are you done teaching father-in-law what I asked you to teach him.?"

Christopher was still having reactions when she called him honey. "I... I am sorry to disappoint you but, my father can't learn. I don't think he has a heart. Everything I have been saying to him did not work out!" He managed to say.

"That won't be a problem. Let's go to the table. I have set it and what is left is for us all to go there and enjoy!!" Rose said with a smile. She looked at Christopher and said. "Please, get Mrs. Rita and Princess then, meet me and your father in the dining room."

"Okay," Christopher answered and walked away leaving Rose and Mr. Allen.

"Father-in-law, why are you not standing up? Do you think I will poison you?" Rose asked looking at Mr. Allen who was just watching her cautiously. "Don't worry, I can't poison anybody when my family is around. They will also eat the food so, I can't poison it. Let's go and wait for them in the dining room." She added and went to help him up from the chair.

Before her hand could touch him, he moved out of her reach and said. "Don't touch me!! What you are trying to say is that you can poison me if your husband and child are not here?"

"Maybe..." Rose answered with a smile.

"You are evil! Don't touch me!! I will go by myself.!" Mr. Allen said and stood up as fast as possible. He was beginning to get scared of the smile on Rose's face.

"You don't have to be so scared. I only have the dream of killing people who offend me. One time, I had this idea of killing my neighbor when I was a child and burying her under the orange tree in our compound. Till today, I still regret not doing that. She could have helped as manure for that tree." Rose said. While she was talking, she tried as much as possible to make it look as if she would still love to do it. She watched Mr. Allen shake his head before running away from her. The smile on her face vanished immediately after he left her presence. "This is just the beginning." She whispered to herself and walked after him.
