Chapter Forty One

Rose and Mrs. Rita went through every room up the stairs one by one and there were seven rooms in total. Each room has its bathroom and closet attached. After checking them all, Mrs. Rita chose the first room in the hallway. "I like this one. It's not far from Princess's room and not too close to it. I will take this one."

"Since it's settled, I will ask Blessing and Ene to have it cleaned up, and then, we will move your things in," Rose said.

"Ok. Let's go. We'll have them come up to clean the room." Mrs. Rita agreed.

They both left the room and on their way down, they met Ene "well-done ma," Ene greeted them.

"Ene please, I want you and Blessing to help me clean the first room by the right," Rose said to her.

"Ok, ma," Ene answered and walked away to tell Blessing.

Ene walked away from Mrs. Rita and Rose to pass the instruction that was given to them. She found Blessing sitting at the back of the house facing the trees. "Wetin you dey do for here?" Ene asked her.

"Wetin e look like? I am sitting of course!" Blessing answered her.

"I know you are sitting. I can see that. What I mean is, what are you doing sitting here for?" Ene asked.

"Nothing. Since our work has been reduced, I have nothing to do na. What else do you expect me to be doing?" Blessing answered her with a frown

"Well, that's your problem. Madam asked us to clean one room upstairs." Ene said with a hiss and turned to walk away.

Blessing stood up and walked after her but not without saying, "shey be she talk say make we no go upstairs again. Why is she now asking us to go and clean a room there? Who are we even cleaning the room for?" Blessing asked in one breathe.

"Why don't you ask her yourself? She is the madam and we are the house girls. Her job is to order us around and our job is to carry out her orders!." Ene said with irritation.

"Why are you always grumpy sef? Every time you will just be frowning your face. Na wa oo!!" Blessing said and hissed.

"See, I don't want to lose my job, and from what I can see, you can make me lose my job," Ene said and stopped walking.

"Ha, ha!!! How will I make you lose your job?" Blessing asked crossing her arms over her chest.

"Listen to me. You don't know when to talk and when not to. See, whatever madam says in this house is like law. We are not meant to complain." Ene lectured.

"Did I complain? I only asked a question na!!" Blessing said. "Please ooo, don't make me start looking like a bad person. Somebody that just came into the house Is now changing how we have been working. What is she taking herself as?" Blessing questioned. And from her tone, she sounds displeased.

"Please, please, and please. Don't put me in trouble." Ene pleaded. "What Is she taking herself as?" Ene mimicked Blessing. "In case you don't know, she is your boss's wife and that makes her your boss as well," Ene added. "If you like follow me. If you like don't follow me. As for me, I will do what I have been asked to do." Ene said and walked away.

"Stupid ugly girl! See the way she is talking sef!!" Blessing said angrily. "If you like follow me. If you like don't follow me." Blessing repeated with anger. "Can't I say what's on my mind again?" She said and hissed. "Mumu! She the way she is even walking like agric chicken. Nonsense!" Blessing cursed and walked after her.

On the other hand, Mrs. Rita and Rose were still going around the house. Rose didn't want to prepare lunch at that time because it was only a few minutes after twelve so, she decided to walk around the house. "This is the library." Mrs. Rita said as she opened a door.

"Wow!!" Rose exclaimed as she walked into the library. "Aside from the garden, this is the best part of this house." She said as she looked around. "So many books! Did he move two different libraries into this place?" She asked. Because of the size. It was very big. Bigger than any Library she had ever stepped into.

"I seriously don't know why he added a library to this house. He rarely comes in here." Mrs. Rita said.

"Well, I have to thank him then. Let me warn you in advance. If I am at home and you can't find me anywhere, just come here and you will find me." Rose said and picked up a book. She scanned it and smiled happily before placing it back on the shelf. "Let's continue with the rest of the tour," Rose said but not without looking back. She promised herself she was gonna go back before leaving.

They walked to a door with a pin pad on it and Mrs. Rita asked Rose to punch it in. "Put in the pin."

"I don't know the pin. How am I supposed to know it?" Rose asked with confusion written all over her face.

"Well, Christopher assured me that you know the code. So, try." Mrs. Rita urged shrugging her shoulders.

"That's not possible na. I didn't even know there was something like this in this house so, how can I know?" Rose said and crossed her arms over her chest

"He only told me that, if you want to go around the house and I happen to accompany you when we get here. I should tell you that the pin is what you two hold precious together." Mrs. Rita explained.

"Hmm, let's leave it till he is around. This is just his office space and I don't have any business being there anyway! Let's just continue..." Rose said after a second of thought.

"This is his office space but, he had it remodeled before he came to get you and Princess. Even I am curious. I want to see what it looks like. Please, try." Mrs. Rita said with a pleading and curious expression.

"Fine but, don't blame me if I don't get it," Rose said as she moved towards the door to try the pin.

( hello my dear readers, I want to use this medium to announce some changes in the story. Princess's age will be increased to five. Meaning, she will no longer be three years old. Rose's age will be 26 while Christopher will be 29. This will mean that they met again after 6 years. Christopher, found out her whereabouts but didn't go to look for her for two years. Meaning, he watched her from afar for two years before he was able to go to her. I love ❤️ you all. )
