Chapter Ninety Four

"Get the car ready!!" Christopher shouted as he carried her and rushed out of the room leaving Uzo and Ada to rush after them. On his way down, he passed Mrs. Rita who was going up the stairs as well.

"What Is happening to Rose!?" She asked as she saw Rose bleeding and groaning in pain. She didn't get an answer so, she also rushed out after Christopher.

He got to his car and hurriedly placed her in the back seat. Mrs. Rita entered as well and he drove off without looking back. Uzo and Ada followed closely behind in another car. They got to the hospital and Rose was rushed in for emergency treatment. While they were all waiting for the doctors to come out and talk to them, Uzo got a call. He moved some steps away from Christopher and the others before taking the call. "What is it?" He asked the caller.

"Something has happened to the small madam. We can't find her anywhere.!" The person on the other end said.

"Wha... What nonsense are you saying?" Uzo asked shakily.

" We watching her as usual but, all of a sudden she just ran away. When we rushed in to follow, she was nowhere to be found.!" The other person said.

"This Is bad... This is bad... Christopher must not hear about this. What is john doing at the moment!?" Uzo said with panic. They had just rushed Rose to the hospital and now Princess Is nowhere to be found in school. What is happening?

"That's why John asked me to call you. What do we do?" The person on the other end asked worriedly.

"Have you all checked the CCTV footage!?" Uzo asked.

"That's what we are checking."

"Okay, I will be there in a moment. Just tell john to handle things till I get there.!" Uzo said and ended the call. After ending the call, he took a deep calming breath before walking back to where the others are. Upon getting there, he noticed that Christopher had also just gotten off the phone, and from his expression, he might have heard of Princess.

"Who was that on the phone with you!?" Christopher asked.

"Uhmm, it... It was..." Uso was trying to say but the appearance of the doctor stopped him.

They all turned to the doctor and Christopher asked. "Doctor how is my wife!? What happened to her!?"

"She is fine now. You all brought her in time and we were able to get rid of the poison she digested. She was poisoned.!" The doctor explained. There was pin-drop silence when the doctor had finished speaking. Nobody said a word for some minutes because they were all lost. When the doctor saw their reaction, he called back their attention to himself. "Did you all hear what I just said?"

"You said she was poisoned?" Christopher eventually asked.

"Yes, she was given a..."

"Uzo, go to the house and make sure no one steps out!!" Christopher said interrupting whatever the doctor was saying.

"Okay," Uzo answered and started to hurry out. He had only gone a few steps when he turned to look at Christopher. He wanted to tell him about Princess but, Christopher spoke before he could open his mouth.

"I already know about Princess. She called me herself and according to her, she is fine. The person who saved her will bring her here in a while. Just make sure that no one leaves that house until I say so." Christopher said.

Uzo nodded in understanding and walked away. Christopher looked at the doctor and asked. "Are you sure she is fine doctor? Nothing will happen to her?"

"Yes, she is fine. Don't you want to know what kind of poison she was fed with?" The doctor asked.

"It's not important. Thank you, doctor! Can we see her now!?" Christopher asked and Mrs. Rita and Ada nodded their head to show they were in support of what Christopher had said.

"Yes, you all will be able to see her in a minute. She will be transferred to a room and then you can all go in and see her." The doctor answered and walked away.

"Who would do such a thing?" Mrs. Rita asked as she sat on the chair weakly. "Why would anybody in that house want her dead?" She continued.

Christopher didn't say anything. He just took out his phone and started working on it. Rose was moved into a VIP room and Mrs. Rita and Ada went in to check up on her. Christopher continued to work on his phone and after some minutes, he called Uzo. "Have you gotten home?" He asked immediately the call was connected.

"I just drove into the compound. Have you checked the CCTV cameras?" Uzo asked.

"Yes, make sure you watch the maids. The two of them went into the kitchen and touched the food that Rose ate before being rushed down here." Christopher answered. The truth is that there is a CCTV camera around the house but it is very well hidden. The only people who knows about the cameras placed around the house are Christopher, Uzo, and the person who worked on the house when he was renovating.

"No problem, I know what to do. I will bring them there with that food that was poisoned. I will be back with the both of them!." Uzo said angrily.

"Just make sure that no one leaves the house until we are sure of everything.!" Christopher said and ended the call. After the call, Christopher forced himself to walk to the ward that Rose was transferred to. When he got to the door, he looked through the glass and saw Mrs. Rita and Ada standing beside Rose. Ada had tears running down her cheeks while Mrs. Rita was just holding onto Rose's hand and looking at her sleeping face.

He pushed the door open after a few minutes of hesitation and walked in. He went to her side and sat on the bed. Mrs. Rita and Ada decided to excuse them and left the room quietly. After being left alone, Christopher continued to look at Rose's sleeping face. He used his hand to caress her cheeks and at that moment, tears began to fall out of his eyes. "Please, wake up. I am sorry that you had to be in such a situation. I wasn't careful enough and that's why you are here.!" He whispered and he continued to caress her face.

He was blaming himself for being careless. He blamed himself for not taking good care of her and their daughter. He was thankful that someone had saved Princess before anything could happen to her. What would he have said to Rose if anything had happened to Princess? He was still crying and blaming himself when he felt a hand wipe his tears off his face.

"Why are you crying? It doesn't suit you. You look ugly with tears on your face.!" Rose who had just woken up said with a smile on her face.
