Chapter Sixty Five

Rose and Christopher looked at each other for a while without saying anything. Rose wanted to keep a low profile for that wouldn't be possible anymore. She had no choice but to talk because she knows that, the press will do everything possible to find out things if she doesn't satisfy their curiosity. "To tell everyone the truth, My name is Rose. Our daughter's name is Princess. I didn't want to appear before everybody because I want a private life for me and my child. I hope we will still get that privacy even after now, thank you!" Rose said.

"You didn't answer our question. How and when did you get in here?" A reporter asked.

"She was here before the opening!" Christopher answered on her behalf.

"Is she the owner of this mall?" Another reporter asked.

Rose and Christopher looked at each other briefly and Rose nodded her head gently at him. When Christopher got the approval from her, a wide smile spread across his face. He was so happy she wanted him to tell them she was the boss of the mall. He wants the whole world to know that she is the real boss and he also wants the whole world that she is his wife. He held her hand and pulled her closer to his body and then, placed a kiss on her hand and said. "With the happiness in my heart, I will like you all to meet the owner of RCP malls. She is the person behind the table who runs this place.!" Christopher said and that got a lot of people clapping.

Some ladies became envious of Rose but they were all happy for them. That news made them all forget about Cindy's performance earlier on. "Thank you all!! It's so wonderful to have so many people coming in on the first day! My husband and I would like to say a very big thank you to all of you for coming. This mall won't run without every single one of you." Rose said.

"See better wife. Meself go love ooo!!!" Someone commented.

"Well, we won't like to disturb you all from shopping again so, we will leave you all to shop as you want! Thank you!!" Christopher said and left the scene with Rose. When they got into the elevator and Christopher had pressed the button for the top floor, he said to Rose. "Are you ok?"

"Yes, yes! I am ok. Why do you ask?" Rose answered him.

"Well, you seem to be thinking about something that's why I asked if you were ok," Christopher answered her.

"To tell you the truth, I am ok. It's just that I expected people to criticize me. That's why I didn't want to appear in public as your wife. What will happen when they start digging for information about me and they find out that I am not up to your standard? Have you thought of that?" Rose asked Christopher.

"Who says you are not up to my level? You are more than what I want in a life partner. Just leave everything to your husband. I will take care of all that when the time comes. For now, just enjoy every day as it comes. What matters to me is that I have you and our daughter and maybe you can give me a son also..." Christopher said with a suggestive smile.

"Which son??" Rose asked shyly.

"A son from you... Think about it. What will it look like if we have a son and we name him Prince? You are the queen, I am the loyal king and we have a princess and prince!! Wouldn't that be amazing!?" Christopher asked with a dreamy expression on his face.

"You talk too much!" Rose said and pushed him away from her but she couldn't help the smile that spread across her face.

"Come on!! It..." Christopher was saying before the elevator opened. They got out and walked into her office hand in hand.

"Wait oooh... Are you not going to work?" Rose asked Christopher immediately she remembered that he was supposed to go to work also.

Christopher scratched the back of his head and answered. "Uhm... I wanted to stay with you. I have a lot of people that are capable to take care of things in my absence so, I don't need to be there."

"Hmmm, so you are here because you changed your mind about going to work. Right?" Rose asked.

"Yes... I want to stay with you for the whole day. Don't you like it?" He said with a smile.

"Well, what can I say, how is Uzo? Has he found out anything new?" Rose asked.

"I haven't spoken to him. I am sure he will call me if he finds out anything. Just be calm. He is capable and he will find out who that person is." Christopher assured her.

"Okay," Rose answered. They spent the whole day together and the mall closed around 3 pm. After they had locked down, all the workers gathered themselves in the meeting room on the same floor as Rose's office. "Thank you all for doing a great job today. For those of you who know and for those who don't, this is Rose my wife and she is your boss!" Christopher introduced as Rose sat down.

"Thank you all. I don't have anything much to say. All I want is just for you all to work with me, support and there will be no problem. Thank you!" Rose said.

"Before we go, I'd like to introduce you to your P.A. her name is Bolu!" Christopher introduced the lady who had come out earlier to stop Cindy.

"It's nice to finally get to meet you ma'am.!" Bolu said to Rose.

Rose just smiled at her and nodded her head. "That will be all for now," Rose said and dismissed them all.

When everyone had gone out, Christopher took a seat in front of Rose and said to her. "I have something that I want to suggest. Can I?" He asked and Rose nodded for him to go on. "If you don't mind me saying. If you don't feel too comfortable around these new workers especially Bolu then, we can bring Ada to Lagos and take Bolu to Benue state." He said.

"No, that will be a problem. What if she doesn't want to go over there? I can't just push her because I am her boss. That will be bad of me." Rose said dismissively.

"I can assure you that it will be ok. Ahe has been working with me ever since I came back to Nigeria and before coming here, I good her that there might be a possibility of going to Benue state and she Is willing to go." Christopher said.

"Ok, let's talk about that another time. For now, I think it's time we go and pick Princess from school." Rose said.

"Yes, let us go.!" Christopher said and they both left to pick up Princess.
