Chapter Thirty Six

The next morning, Rose woke up earlier than everyone. She woke up at 5 am. When she woke up, she went around the house in search of cleaning equipment. It took her almost 20 minutes to find the things she needed. She got a bucket, mop, and some other things. She went back into her room and did the cleaning herself. After that, she went into Princess's room and did the same thing. She was used to cleaning the house while every other person was asleep so, she was very quiet about it. She was about to open the door when someone pushed it open from outside.

"Sorry, I didn't know you were here. Why are you up so early?" Christopher asked as he walked into the room.

"It's ok. Good morning and I am io so early because this is how I usually wake up." Rose answered Christopher as she looked at him from head to toe. "You are dressed already?"

"Yes, I am dressed, and good morning," Christopher answered and walked into the room fully. "You didn't answer my question. Why are you up so early?" He asked Rose again.

"I have answered you. I said this is how I wake up every day. Yesterday was an exception." Rose said. "You look good in suit tho." She added.

Christopher wasn't expecting that compliment so, he was taken aback by the sudden compliment. "Oh, Uhm... Thank you." He answered shyly.

"Are you shy?" Rose asked with a smile. "Please don't tell me that this is the first time a lady will admire you when you are on a suit. Is this the first time?" Rose asked.

"This is not the first time I will hear such but, this is the first time you will say such to me. You caught me off guard." He explained to Rose.

"Oh, that's fair but, you do look good. It fits you." Rose said and her smile never left her face.

"Hmm, thanks. You look great as well. Even tho you are putting on almost nothing. I can practically imagine what's underneath." Christopher said a few minutes later.

Rose looked at what she was putting on and her smile left her face immediately. She was still dressed in her nightie and it was as transparent as it could get. She was used to wearing it at home very early in the morning that she forgot she wasn't staying alone anymore. She just got up, washed her face, and started cleaning. She didn't remember to put on something more appropriate. "What are you looking at?" She summoned the courage to ask. "You could have told me immediately you entered na." She added.

"What am I looking at? Nothing. I am only admiring what my beautiful wife is showing me. You just energized me this morning. I wouldn't mind seeing you like this every morning before I leave for work..." Christopher answered and checked her out again.

"If I slap you this early morning eh!..." Rose said. She was trying very hard not to run away. "Wait here. I need to put on something more appropriate." She said and made to walk out of Princess's room.

Christopher who has been controlling himself since he walked into the room and saw her like that held her hand and pulled her into his arms. "Let me hold you for a minute. Just a minute." He pleaded.

Rose stayed still in his arms and just listened to his heartbeat. She wanted to run out of his arm but she didn't move. Her body refused to cooperate with her. She loved the feel of his arms around her and the beat of his heart was welcoming. It was beating loud and she could also feel his breathe getting rough. "You smell so nice," Christopher said after a moment.

His voice pulled Rose back to reality and she pulled out of the hug and said, "thank you but I need to get changed. I'll be back in a moment." She said and walked out of the room without looking at Christopher.

Christopher watched her walk out and followed her. He saw her increase her pace and smile. "I guess you don't know what you do to me." He said and school his head before running his hand through his neatly combed hair. He could still feel her soft body pressed against his. Rose has a nice body and anyone can see it. He was jolted out of his thoughts immediately. "Hi baby, when did you wake up?" He asked as he walked to her bedside.

"Good morning dad. I just woke up and saw you looking outside. Is there something there?" Princess asked while rubbing her eyes.

"There is nothing there my love." He said to her but in his heart he said. 'Your mother was there and she wants to kill me.' "How was your night?" He asked her.

"It was fine dad. How was yours?" Princess asked.

"It was great. I have been having the best nights of my life since yesterday." He answered her.

"Really? Why is it just lately?" Princess asked.

"That's because I have you and your mother here with me now. You two make me happy and you two give me peace." Christopher said and kissed her forehead.

"I love you daddy!!" Princess said and hugged her father. "Are you going somewhere?" She asked after noticing his dressed he looked.

"I love you too Princess," Christopher said and returned the hug. "I am going somewhere." He answered her.

"Where are you going to?" Princess asked and lifted her face to look at him.

"I am going to the office. Daddy needs to work." Christopher answered her.

"Wow!! Is this how you dress every day to work?" Princess asked.

"Yes, is there a problem with my clothes?" Christopher asked her.

"No. There is nothing wrong with your clothes. It's just that, you look very handsome." Princess said.

"Did you and your mother plan this?" Christopher said and smiled brighter. His wife and daughter have just planned to kill him with compliments.

"What did we plan?" Rose who had just come in said.

"Good morning mom!!" Princess said and rushed into her arms.

"Good morning my Princess. How was your night?" Rose asked as she hugged Princess. She had gone into her room and changes into a bump short and plain white top.

"My night was great!! Have you seen how daddy looks?" Princess asked as she pulled out of the hug.

"Yes, I have seen him. Why do you ask?" Rose said.

"He looks so good!!" Princess said with a wide smile on.

"He really does look good." Rose agreed. "Why don't you go and wash up then, we will go and make breakfast together. Do you want to do that?" Rose suggested.

"Yes!! I want to do that." Princess said as she rushed into the bathroom.

"What are you making for breakfast?" Christopher asked after Princess ran into the bathroom.

"Are you waiting for breakfast?" Rose asked him.

"Yes of course! Why will I go to work without breakfast?" Christopher asked.

"Aren't you late? You dressed so early and it's 7 am already. Won't you be late?" Rose asked.

"What do you mean by that? How can I rush off to work when my wife wants to prepare breakfast?" Christopher said. "By the way, I like your clothes. You still look good." He added.

"Let's go, mom!!" Princess said as she came out of the bathroom.

"Change your clothes and we'll go to the kitchen," Rose said and took her into the closet. She gave her clothes that matched what she was wearing and when she wore Princess the clothes, Princess rushed out happily.

"Look, dad!! Mom and I are wearing the same clothes!!" Princess shouted as she came out.

"Wow! My baby looks as beautiful as her mother." Christopher said and carried her. "Let's go and eat something made by your mother." He said as they walked out of the room. Rose shook her head at them and followed them behind.
