CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR: Clear Her Name

“Are you going to do that all day?” George turned around and gave us his bored face.

I scratched my nape and went out from my hiding place. I have been following him around since this morning. I failed to watch after and save Beatrice when she was close. I shouldn’t make the same mistake all over again. This could be a sign as well that George is the one who’s meant to be saved.

“You too, Grey and Sierr–”

“Gugu,” Grip butted in and broke his invisibility spell.

Gugu showed up too. She hid behind the tree because George was a sealer and could see her. She was cunning on that part, I could give her that.

“You don’t have to tail me like creepy stalkers. I appreciate your concerns but seriously, you don’t have to do this. Don’t waste your precious time on me.” He emphasized the word time while looking at Grip then darted his eyes to Gugu.

“I’m not really concerned. I’m just doing Serra a favor,” he stated straight forward wearing his straight face.

“Grip!” Gugu and I scolded
