Travis'

I locked eyes with the security who shot the question at me, like I could perform a magic spell on him to let it slide.

“You’re not answering?” He added.

“Drek. Just get his invitation card and stop being rude. Do you want to be fired?” Another rendered his voice.

“Please sir, pass your invitation card.” the latter demanded.

Fuck!

Invitation card…what invitation card?

My unsettling eyes searched the car and found the card just by the uber.

I breathed calmly and picked it up, revealing it to them.

“Alrighf sir, you may go in.” The latter ushered.

“Alright.” I muttered turning the wheel. “You!” I snapped at the former tilting my head down to reveal my angry eyes at him.

He lowered his gaze immediately. He definitely regretted his actions no doubt.

I scoffed and drove on inside through the gates.

I parked my car next to Carlos' outside and sat still inside while I observed the environment.

I saw men carrying crates into trucks.

Whatever was in those crates is definitely illegal. I have a strong feeling about that.

Why else would the factory be located at the ends of the earth?

A knock on the car. It was gentle yet terrifying.

A man revealed himself at the window and waved his hand.

I put down the car's glass window and he greeted me with a smile, “Good morning sir.”

“Good morning.” I deepened my voice to sound more mature.

He stood upright, his hands before his crotch. I didn't know what it meant.

“Aren’t you going in for the meeting sir?” the pretty old man asked me.

“Oh—yes of course!” I made a fake cough and got out of the car.

He stretched his hands to take the key from me, but I withheld it.

“Don’t worry, I don't plan on staying for long.” I said to him, faking a smile.

He squints,“I haven't quite seen your face here before. Are you new sir?”

“What sort of ridiculous question is this?” I nagged.

“I’m sorry sir.” He bowed.

“I’m part of the family you know.” I included.

“Part of the family?” He sounded surprised.

Well, this is the right time to leave his presence before I say something that might get me caught.

I rushed my steps, looking back at the old man who was equally looking strangely at me.

He must be suspecting something.

I should be more cautious as I'm a total stranger here. I shouldn't be seen by Carlos' or his father else I'm done for.

Should I go inside?

What if they're there, right in front of the door? Then what?

I can't back out now, I need to know what the factory is producing first.

I see smoke rising up in the exhaust vent.

The smoke was massive, it made me wonder what they were really doing?

As I got closer to the door, just right on the concrete ground. I saw that symbol. The one with the raven in a circle.

Ha!

I can't believe this is it?

This is the organization.

I laughed. But not too loud.

I'm finally unravelling the mystery of that secret  organization Sammy claims to be a dangerous one.

Time to go see what lies behind the door.

Part of me is afraid to go in. What if I open the door and guns are pointed at me?

What if they figured me to be an imposter from inception.

What then do I do?

I didn't even inform Sammy about this. What if something happens to me?

Gosh!

Even if I should get killed here today, I absolutely believe that my ghost will haunt him and complete the mission of destroying Carlos' life.

I opened the door slightly and peered through. Workers with distinguished jackets were putting drugs in crates.

Not just any drug but hard drugs.

I might not have seen one until today, but I sure know movies have exposed that to be cocaine.

A white power in transparent packages?

I could smell it. It’s intoxicating.

I sneezed and covered my nose immediately.

This is definitely my ticket to go out, now that I know the location, I'll just go report it to the police.

I put my hand in my pocket to take out my phone, but it wasn't there.

Fuck!

I left it in my clothes.

My clothes are in the car.

Don't worry I didn't leave the bossy man naked.

Or woman…whatever. The point is, I have to take pictures of this place to prove at least.

No one will believe me without evidence, not even Sammy.

A worker spotted me and was coming towards me in haste. His face had this killer vibe.

I turned around to leave immediately but he called, “sir!”

“Yes.” I replied without looking at him. My hand was already at the door if he decided to make any funny move.

I even imagined him saying, “put your hands in the air!”

“Here sir.” He beckoned.

I looked back and saw him stretching an oxygen mask to me.

“Oh…thank you.” I said calmly and collected the mask.

It's a ‘Drager LAR V Rebreather’ and now my face can be covered while I watch.

“The rest are in the room there.” He pointed out.

“Uh…okay.” I stuttered, reluctantly moving my foot forward.

I shouldn't be too sure wearing a mask can save me.

Both father and son will be in that room. I shouldn't risk it.

I should leave, but my curiosity keeps driving me.

I took another step forward, more boldly this time. And before I knew it, I was already going to that room.

My ears could hear my heartbeat, but I chose to be brave and ignore it.

If I was a cop, it'd probably be one of those undercover duties.

I got to the door and opened it.

The people in the room were seated on chairs around a rectangular table. Mr. Alvarez sat at the last edge perpendicular to the door.

They all stopped listening to whoever was talking and turned to look at me.

Should I have knocked on the door?

This was totally a bad idea.

I was frozen at the door, my body tensed by their gazes.

None of them were wearing a mask.

I'm gradually beginning to freak out.

I don't know if I can hold my piss for long.

  • I'm The Mafia Daddy's Obsession    Thirty one: The Unexpected Happening

TravisThe hum of the engine was the only thing keeping the silence from turning into a full-blown interrogation.I kept my hands locked on the steering wheel, my knuckles tight.I wanted to get out of here as soon as possible, and maybe knock Carlos to sleep too.I keep getting this weird feeling and I don't like it.Carlos sat in the passenger’s seat, leaning back, his eyes half-closed, looking for all the world like a man who had just begun to see the world for what it truly is.“So…what is my uncle like?” He finally decided to break the lasting silence. How I’d have loved to maintain that moment of silence.“He’s good.” My voice sounded thin to my own ears. I knew I was definitely lying. I don't know anything about his uncle.“You don't have to lie to me, I know who Dayton is.” He sounded boastful.“You didn't have to ask if you knew him so well.”Carlos grunted in response.“Wait a sec, I haven't even seen what you look like?” He started while scrolling through his phone. “My unc

Travis' The punch by Fester was only the beginning. It had triggered an unquenchable fury within Mr. Alvarez. He didn't fail to return his own punch, aiming for Fester's jugular. However, the blow hit his chin.In a blink of an eye, both men were throwing punches to see who was the greatest.I wonder if I should keep watching or I should use the moment to just escape instead.I began taking a few steps backwards to slip away from sight.“Ugh!” Fester groaned, leaning forward and holding onto his crotch. That was freaking nasty. How could Mr. Alvarez hit on his own brother's balls?Fester was whining about it. It must have hurt that much, I can imagine.I was hit once there too when I was in high school. By a ball, not a boy. I rolled my eyes.I had just taken a step out of the door when he voiced, “where do you think you're going?”“Mr. Alvarez…”“What?” Both men retorted with an angry gaze and glanced at each other. That's right, they're both Alvarez's. How could I have missed tha

Travis' I watched them banter each other with words I didn't even know existed. This began shortly after Carlos muttered nothing but rubbish as the rules binding them all. He should have just shut up, but instead he decided to cause havoc instead.Well, I'm undeniably enjoying it to be honest. I can't wait to see the first person that'll start throwing punches.I'll leave as soon as the argument gets intense. That way, they won't see me disappear.I sat calmly watching everyone throw words at each other and cussing.Like I said, they weren't using normal English. It's like they had a slang of their own. But somehow in the midst of it, I was able to grasp the topic. They were arguing about a failed mission which was led by one of the men at the table—Huston. He had black glasses on his face with a cigarette attached to his mouth like he doesn't give a fuck about what they were saying. It's interesting how he's fueling the hatred against him without even bothering.“Where are the drugs

Travis' “And who are you?” Mr. Alvarez threw the question at me, before I could even make a sound or a movement.God knows a lot of lies danced in my mind right this moment. None of which could save me from this pressure.I should have stuck something on my chest to give the breasts impression. That way they could tell whoever this is.“Are you coming to sit down or what?” Another man questioned.I nodded forward and took a step.“I asked," Who are you?” Mr. Alvarez asked again. This time his teeth were clenched and he spoke, revealing anger.“I’m…” it was at this moment I remembered the name on the invitation card. “I’m Dayton's bodyguard.” I said boldly.“I knew that bastard wouldn't come.” a man cussed. He was seated at Mr. Alvarez's left hand side. With a few wrinkles on his skin and gray hair on his head.“Why did Dayton send you?” Mr. Alvarez asked while squinching.“And what's with the mask in here?” Another chipped in.“Gosh! His bodyguard is so hot.” An elderly woman comment

Travis' I stood there while watching the car take off. He's so bad at driving that I wonder if he even has a driver's license.I recalled the phone call he was making with his father about the family meeting. He's going back home right? He sounded angry about it.I took a taxi to go back also. I see no point in moving on to the office when Carlos isn't coming.Carlos took a different turn. Not the turn that leads back to the mansion. He wasn't going back home.Where the hell was he going to?I beckoned to the taxi driver to follow his car, assuring to pay for his services. The driver followed suit, leaving a few cars before him to avoid suspicious movement.Damn! This driver has skills.Perhaps, he has trailed cars secretly before. He's just keeping a low profile on the road, but making sure not to lose Carlos' car.I saw Carlos' car drifting from road I to a wasteland.“Where are you going?” I whispered the question to myself. I was referring to Carlos of course.“What the hell! I
