Emma opened her eyes weakly as she slowly stirred awake. For a moment, everything around her felt blurry. But then her eyes adjusted, and she saw David sitting right beside her. His face was tense, his brows furrowed in deep worry, his hand resting close to hers as though afraid to lose her again.

“Emma…” David leaned forward the very second he noticed her stirring. “You’re finally awake. How are you feeling?”

Emma blinked slowly, her throat dry. She nodded faintly and replied in a low voice,

“I… I’m fine…”

Her eyes darted around, confused, until she finally asked, “Where… where are we?”

David exhaled heavily. “We’re in the prison clinic. You collapsed suddenly after the officers brought you out of the visiting room; we had to bring you here right away.”

Emma let her head sink back onto the pillow as she sighed. She then muttered softly, “Thank you…”

But before David could say more, his eyes darkened with questions. He hesitated for a few seconds, debating if it was the right time to

David drove as fast as he could, his hands tight on the steering wheel. Beside him, Emma sat stiff, her breathing uneven as her eyes stared out the window, but she wasn’t really seeing anything. Her mind was racing, filled with fear and questions that wouldn’t stop running through her head. How could this all be happening in a single day? How could her father—her strong, proud father— suddenly suffer from a heart attack? What had happened to him? What had triggered it? The questions pressed on her chest.David’s voice was calm, trying to steady her. “Emma, we’ll get there soon. Just hold on.”Emma turned to him, her face pale. “David, I don’t understand. He was fine… he has always been fine! How could this happen?”David didn’t answer. His focus remained on the road, though he was also worried, concerned about Mathew's health.By the time they reached the city hospital, Emma could no longer contain herself. The moment the car stopped, she pushed open the door and rushed inside. David

Emma walked into the police station with David by her side. They approached the reception desk and requested to see Isabel. The officer on duty made a call, then directed them to the visiting area. The room wasn’t like the movies—no glass walls or phones. Instead, there were plain wooden tables with metal chairs on either side, watched closely by guards. When Isabel was escorted in, Emma’s breath hitched. She looked different. Her once perfectly groomed hair now hung unkempt around her shoulders. Her skin had lost its glow, and she wore a faded gray prison uniform, the sleeves rolled up roughly, exposing thin wrists bound in cuffs. When Isabel's gaze landed on Emma, a crooked smile curled at her lips. But the moment she saw David seated beside Emma, her smile vanished, replaced with a sharp frown.“Why is he here?” Isabel snapped. “I said I wanted to see you, Emma. Not him.”David leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms. “Too bad. If you want to talk, you’ll talk to both of us. Ot

A few days later…Emma walked beside David as they guided little Claire out of the consulting room. The attending doctor had just finished her appointment, given her the necessary instructions, and reassured them that things were looking hopeful with her treatment. As they headed back home after the doctor's appointment, Claire leaned forward from the back seat.“Thank you for bringing me to the hospital, Uncle David.”David turned slightly with a smile, meeting her eyes in the rearview mirror.“You’re very welcome, my beautiful princess,” he said warmly. “I’ll always take you anywhere you need.”Her face lit up at those words, and then she added with excitement, “I want to get better soon… because my birthday is coming!”David blinked, caught off guard. His hands stilled for a moment on the steering wheel as he turned his gaze toward Emma. She sat quietly beside him in the passenger seat, her lips forming a small smile as she nodded in confirmation.David chuckled softly. “Your birth

The report continued, the reporter's voice clear and merciless:“…Smith’s car lost control and crashed into a large truck. The impact was severe, crushing the vehicle beyond recognition. Emergency responders on the scene confirmed that Ms. Allison Smith died instantly, with fatal head injuries…”Isabel froze, her body trembling.“No…” she whispered, shaking her head violently. “No, not my daughter. Not Allison…”Maybe it was another woman with the same name. Maybe she had misheard. But then, as if the world wanted to tear her heart apart, the newscaster went on.“Allison Smith had been wanted by the police following the attempted murder of Dr. Emma Morgan. It is believed she was probably fleeing the authorities when the accident occurred and took her life…”The room spun. The walls seemed to tilt. Isabel’s knees buckled, and she collapsed to the ground.“No! It’s not true! You’re lying!” she screamed at the television, her voice filled with anguish. Her hands clawed at her hair, her f

  • Loving The Billionaire Gone Wrong   Prison News

The tray in Isabel’s hands rattled faintly as she walked across the noisy dining hall of the prison. The room was crowded with women in the same dull uniforms.Isabel had grown used to the routine—stand in line, take her food, find a seat where she could eat her food in silence. She didn’t like drawing attention to herself. In a place like this, the less anyone noticed you, the better for you.But when she spotted an empty seat at one of the long tables, she barely had time to move her tray down before a hand shot out and blocked her path.“Not here,” the woman sneered, her lips curling as she glanced at Isabel with disdain. Two other inmates at her side smirked and leaned closer, forming a wall with their bodies.“Yeah, keep walking,” another added, tilting her chin. “This place is already taken.”Isabel lowered her gaze. She wasn’t surprised. Things like this happened often. The women here had their little groups, their invisible borders and rules. She had no friends, no one who cla
