Pretty isn't your child

One step, two steps, three steps, she turned and looked at Allan in the eyes. Am sorry Allan. There is something l always wanted to tell you but never got the chance too. Since we are parting, its only better and wise to let you know.lts something about Pretty.

For some unknown reasons, Allan didn't want to hear what she wanted to tell him again. His heart was alarmed that something even worse than the divorce will come out of her mouth. He heart was already in bruises.

But before he could prevent her from talki g, Leticia had already opened her lips.lts now right to let him face it now. She thought.

Allan when we met l was already pregnant meaning that Pretty isn't your child. At that time her father abondoned me in the hospital because he couldn't pay the huge bill. Am truly sorry. Please find it in your heart to forgive me. Leticia finished her words and walked towards the door again. But this time it was Allan who called her name.

She stopped and looked at him. Is it true that Pretty isn't my fresh and blood? Or you are saying it because am in this situation? Allan mouthed out his question. His eyes piercing into Leticia's making her to panic for a moment.

Leticia quickly came to her senses. Allan is crippled. He can't do anything to me. Yes its true. Here is the proof. She replied back.

She got both the antenatal charts and birth charts of Pretty from her bag and showed them to Allan. On the position where he should be as the father of the baby, there was some one else's name. Albert Fande.

Allan calmly gave the documents to Leticia and closed his eyes to sleep. His actions left Leticia speechless. She opened her mouth intending to say something but nothing came up. She could only turn and run out of the ward as quick as her legs can.

Once out the ward and hospital, she sat on the bench in the park nearby and cried out. She clearly knows that she has been heartless towards Allan who has been nothing but a good husband to her and a lovely father to her daughter.

However herr tears didn't last that long before she rubbed her eyes dry and blamed everything on Allan's inability to revive them from being poor for life. She adjusted her clothes, dolled her face up again and set for the road as well as her new life without Allan the looser.

Allan on the other hand opened his eyes after hearing the door of the ward being shut. Tears were streaming down from his eyes.  His heart was really torn into many pieces. He didn't know what he did to deserve such treatment and unfairness in the world.

His hand went to his left side of the chest holding tightly on his heart. He was sure that it wanted to burst out of his chest.

Despite of all that, his mind drifted back to when he met Leticia in capital hospital for the first time. Back then he was working in  Longlife herbal company which manufacture and supply herb medicines in some hospitals and outside.

At that time Leticia was  on her bed in the general ward drink something in the cup. She had bright almond eyes that were too attractive despite her skin being yellow. Her mother was beside her. That's when he fell for her.

The next day Allan brought herbal orders in the hospital and collided with the weak and unsteady Leticia who was from the bathroom. Because her body was already weak, she just fell to the ground. Allan and doctors took her to the bed where they treated her.

Poor woman. She is sick and her mother is too poor to pay for the medicine. One of the doctors blurted. That picked Allan's interest. He didn't know why he wanted to know more about the patient that was on verge of death.

Doctor her skin being yellow. Is it because that she lacks blood? He asked the doctor. Allan knew little about medicines because of his company thus he was able to tell.

Yes that poor girl is suffering due to life threatening anemia. She lacks blood in her body. We managed to get some but it wasn't enough yet our hospital runout of that type of blood. She needs alot. The doctor sighed after mouthing out.

What's her blood type? Allan inquired. AB negative the doctor responded with another sigh. The problem is that the blood type in Uganda is very rare. We couldn't get in the blood donors and even if we get there was a possibility that the person is not willing to donate it. The doctor added. Allan also sighed his blood type is B positive. He can't give her his own blood.

Is there anywhere that the blood can be found. Allan asked again. He atleast  needed to try. The woman was too beautiful to die at such a young age.

It's KSA hospital blood bank. Its there but costs millions since its most cases imported. The doctor replied.

Allan kept silent for a moment until he spoke again. How much will it exactly cost and how many bags are needed.

Sir do you know the woman that you want to help.? The doctor couldn't help but to inquire. If yes let's go to my office and talk more.

The next day they managed to get blood for leticia. Even though it costed half of his money that he had, Allan had already decided to help the woman.

Few days later Leticia was discharged from the hospital and Allan offered to take care of her and her family. Thus he privided everything that they needed. Few months later they held a small wedding and leticia started to live with Allan

But unfortunately things started to get worse six months after their marriage. Allan lost his job. Because he was un employed, he used all of his savings to rake care of Leticia and her family. It was only few money that he used to turn into being a peasant.

His mother never liked Leticia and her family. She even once said that Leticia has a bad luck that's whu her son lost his job abd has nothing. She even told Allan when they were alone that Pretty may not be his daughter because she doesnt feel any connection with the little girl as a grandmother. She doesn't even look like you nor her mother. Allan be careful. That what his mother said. But at that time Allan didn't believe anything. He thought his mother  didn't like Leticia from the start and only said those words because of that. He never doubted his wife before. But now this happens. It was too late. He can't bring back the hands of time.

With tears flowing down, Allan closed  his eyes again. He wanted to drift  into a deep sleep but no matter what he couldn't sleep. The pain was too much for him. He thought about telling his mum about the situation but he decided not to give her other things to worry about. Its not like she didn't warn him from the beginning.

Few hours later Allan managed to sleep. Darkness came and he didn't open his eyes. The nurses came to check on him.

Days passed, a week also, two weeks and three weeks then amonth, the man in bed never opened his eyes. The nurses could only sigh every time they come to check on him.

He was very popular in the hospital so many nurses felt pity for him being lonely in the hospital. So they decided to appoint from them selves a day for each one to take care of the man who know what the future holds.

Every day one nurse will come to wash his face and change clothes and bandages. But the man didn't show any sign of woking up from the coma.
